About time I did a write up.
I purchased this Clio 172 Cup last month in order to turn it into a track day car. It will be driven to tracks so needs to retains some bare basics.
The car already had Ktec ITB and a ECU with a Ktec stealth system mated up to a 182 header.
The car was in really...
Re: My 172 Cup (T5MY G) Gaz Coilovers/Ktec mounts & decat! Back in a clio :)
Nice one fella. Do you get much vibration through the car body due to the engine mount?
I already have Recaro Pole Positions that I had in the Audi, just need to find the right subframe for them to fit
They do slide, however I may have to have them fixed if they sit to high.
Steering wheel is the Sabelt one from Ktec http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4269&appid=2
Well I started on the car about 6pm and started faffing about, got as far as removing the steering wheel. I broke one of the air bag resistors so need to find a way to attached the resistors too. I might go back into the Man Cave and have another attempt.
The car is for the track so totally...
Yep they work, jump with joy. My closest Maplins had sld out so had to drive to 5 miles to the next one, took the RS4, so cost me about 8 quid in Fuel, think there official the most expensive resistors....
Funnily I was going to come down and track the Clio but had to pull out. I see your in SEL. Im in Bromley, with give you a shout next time im heading to Brands.
Yep same problem. Rear seat pre-tensioners out, so put 3.9m resistors in and still light is on. Put pre-tensioners back in and lights have gone out. Even having one pre-tensioner plugged in and one with resistor still no joy.
I did read on here that 3.3 and/or 3.9 ohm resistors are ok, so not...
Was the wiper seized onto the wiper bolt? I tried taking mine of yesterday but no joy, looks like it will be a hacksaw job too!
Was the wiper and wiper mechanism heavy?
If you have done the Ring and a few track days and know you have good track etiquette then get on a Open pit lane event.
BTW good project.
Interesting about the ARBs being to low...what is the solution as I have just ordered a set.
I know this now after reading the manual (after removing them) lol
Its a track car so no need for them, but agree, you would have to be a idiot to remove them for a normal road car...well learn something new everyday!
