You shouldn't be braking in the bends.
No need to stock were good enough plus he works at a breakers yard so no dought got the car cheap. it was a 172 engine car first.
4 I think at last count.
Nope not realy.
There a bit of a gap the subframe will protect it anyway realy.
I woulnd't worry about lowering though unless you've some big speed bumps in aquard places even then well setup coilovers etc are fine.
Cv don't wear quicker driveshafts are fine only issue can be whell bearings wear faster...

208 hp stock injectors at 100% duty cycle supposed to be then again a bit blocked etc I woulnd't risk it that running stock pressure up the pressure to say 4 bar and yu've got about 240hp but thats risky I'd try to keep injectors around 80% duty max so I'd upgrade.
I'd also check the pump is...
Renault don't want to mess about with failures on parts others have messed with but realy just chnaging pads cannot go wrong just ring Renault Uk and ask them to sort it or try another dealership.
Re: Standard vs uprated brake pads
Exactly stock on the Mk2 cars are superb realy people forget what they were speced up for parts of them are used on cars with near three times the power
If your going for a custom made/adjusted one yep otherwsie just go for a group N one and add the exhaust/induction kit etc afterwards as it won't matter since it just a fixed map setup for a car with an exhaust usualy.
What is calimed and what is achived are different I wound't worry about a calimed 5mm infact 20mm I woulnd't bother there more important thing there only for look at the end of the day nothing else IMO.
Best get the fluid bled and check the disk etc but realy te stock setup has its weekness IMO and there are better abeitly expensive stuff out there of the choice you gave I'd probably go for the 197 brakes but there not a direct fit and master cylinder etc could be an issue as the calipers are a...
Fronts are easy to do. The 172 guide in the members area explains it all.
The calipers are used on 99% of Mk 2 phase 2 cars and the 1.6 16V Mk2 phase 1 cars plus willias etc so scrap yards will have them plus other none clios use the same pads.
best IMo to refurb the calipers and take them...
Gains are minimal unless the car has other mods.
Cost £300 ish.
IMO there a few good places but RStunning are very good.
Best getting the car mapped with the other bits on it but you need the maps made to suit the car no point getting an off the shelf map you realy need one made to...
Its a JC% in the car I'm sure unless someone been playing about with the internals.
Any JC3 or 5 box as used on the 172/182/williams/valver/1.4 16V/1.5 dci/1.6 16v can use the same dif.
5 or 10 weight is so much better, 15 is a bit to thick i used it in minbe but realy its to thick when cold.
50 a bit thick as well IMO only for track day work in hotter temps.
Re: Archived Post from old forum
Its not the wild cams its just the way the parts all sort of click and give s alickgt kick due to gearing etc it seems more than it realy is.
Inner ones are a bit of a pain just got to work out how to do jacking the arm is the easy way and bolting. Outer ones are a pain easy way is to get some longer bolts
Yep new barrel pickup most likly take both keys with you in future IMO and try then both but its most likly the rignt anew ones are only cheap and easy to change.
