some people need to realise why people own V6's... i bought mine not for power (otherwise i would have a P1, Evo 7/8 for the same money!) Its about WHAT THE CAR IS not what it does. Its RWD, it looks lovely, it has loads of usable torque, it goes well, its smooth, and its mid engined...

jesus...that is expensive, then you have to get the right colour... jeez.. the actual hole itself doesn't bother me, its just the stitching that needs sorting, as obviously not the alcanta has come loose from the seat, so looks worse than it is.

Right, i managed to pull some of my stitching out from my seat today, and put a tiny hole in the seat itself... does anyone know if this is relatively fixable..i know its more than likely the whole bottom part of the seat will have to be replaced for the hole, as its difficult to hide, but can...

Just out of interest... the clio v6 seats as seen in the pic below have coloured writing on them, do the 172's/cups/182 have this writing in colour? Only reason i ask as im searching for a replacement... if i cant find one, im going to get the trophy seats fitted i think...

the sport badge as far as i know is where it is supposed to be? not sure.. looks ok from the back though. Aerial is on the to do list... and the mesh on the back box is still there, obviously the light doesn't show it up... the mk1 has mesh, and the mk2 has plastic mesh. as for the spoiler...

alternator failure is not unheard of mate... starter, alternator and other bits will need replacing, just general renault quality

right so far i have gone into properties "my computer" clicked "remote" and allowed conntection to this computer on both work and home computers, all i have to do now is go home, find out my ip address, type that in to remote control, along with password and user name, and technically i should...

well, i popped it up to renault today... and its all fixed... back on the road :D lets home there is no pattern with the other 5 any time soon... i think if another one goes, ill pop it up to GDI or the likes, and get a new coil pack sorted on it... many thanks for all help given..

A little bit cheesed off today... As many of you know, have had the Mk1 V6 for about 2 weeks, done 1,000 miles in it since buying it lol, so currently on 12,200 or something like that. Driving to work today, and common "emission light came on" and all of a sudden it sounded as rough as you...

I have managed to find a coil from a trusty member, so just need someone to fit it now... will ask a few people around this area... are coils that difficult to fit? im tempted to have a bash... lol :D

other than renault where can i go... they are talking about if its one of the front coils, 4 hours labour!?!?! :S :eek: im based in kent, so the more local the better.

STEERING LOCK? if ignition was off, doesn't the steering lock engage?
