indeed i have seen the vostro's - good laptops... but once you add vat and shipping, you're talking £500 which i am not really aiming to spend...

nothing has been touched - this fault has occured since first picking up the car. I think i can see a trip to renault coming up for a diagnositics...

Finally got round to fitting my new bits the other day, a brand new accelerator pedal assembly, and a 2nd hand throttle body. Put these on, and got my mate (RAC fella) to come and reset all the "error codes". Once this was done, i disconnected the battery, left for 15 minutes, fitted throttle...

Hmm.. thought about that but the car has had a new rubber mounting... :S ...it is an after market exhaust, but only has one rubber holding it at the rear can, one in centre section, and then rest up front... I am just wondering if it is from the manifold end of the exhaust... ?

Morning all, I have a knocking noise coming from underneath the car - not sure exactly on its location. It sounds as if the exhaust is knocking against the chasis. My friends cup does exactly the same. It primarily happens in first gear when at full acceleration, but sometimes happens...

lol fred, to be fair i haven't been THAT hard on them, but i spent most of saturday bedding them in. I had to use them yesterday, and my gf nearly died from lack of oxygen from the seatbelt restraint lol.

indeed yozzasport, brembo hc discs, ferodo ds pads, and braided hoses... best mod i have done on a lot of cars for sometime. With the backs, standard stuff will be ok - i think they only do 20% of the braking - iirc?
