Had new discs and bearings fitted for my MOT recently. Garage said that the 'bearing nut covers missing - needs odering'. Would you say this is the spacer, or does that go behind the bearing? They described it more like a dust cover to stop crap getting into the bearing. They wanted £7.16 each...
Is this a ph1? I've just changed the fuel pump/sender/filter on mine - it's all in one unit. Can't understand how the electronic gauge works but not the analogue one? They get the info from the same place. Maybe the actual gauge in your dash in broken?
Have you tried shocking it with a soft drift and a hammer? Also worth applying some penetrating oil and leaving for a while. Any type of screw driver approch won't work as the bolt will be far too tight, hence rounding off in the first place. Good luck!
Worst 'I'm going to a continent that you poor sods won't ever see' post ever. ;)
I'd hire the TC TBH. Or a proper 'tele - 400mm F/4. The lens should AF fine with the TC at f/5.6. Summer there soon yeah, so should be plenty of light? Just be carful of under exposing your shots with all that...
You mean 1cm when the car is sat on it's wheels? It's supposed to be like that. And there will be a lot of play when jacked up - it's only the weight of the car that keeps the top of the struts in position.
The quote above mentions Rock Star's Midnight Club (LA). Anybody play(ed) it? I think it's a brilliant game.
If GTA V had it's level of vehical dynamics, tuning & style, it would be emense. In fact, they've mapped LA pretty well spot on already in MCLA. If they could add the rest of the GTA...
Mine was the same when the guys at Birchdown changed it. Renault dealer was the last to do it as well. Car ran loads better at low revs after. Before it used to cut out all the time.
Glad you're happy with it, and i'm loving the wheels.
Only everybody that gets in my car.
Or hears it on the street.
Or is in bed when I go to work at five thirty in the morning.
Nobody else has ever said anything to be honest.
You won't do digital music? CD's are full of 1's and 0's. Can't get more digital. If you current CD player will play MP3 CDs then you can get 6 discs worth onto one CD, even at 320 kbps. Tell me you can tell the difference between 1440 kbps CD quality and 320 kbps MP3s in a (very) noisey car...
Good progress - you don't mess about, but why so quick? Are you not one to keep cars long or something? Doing all that at once kind of spoils the improvment each gives doesn't it?
+1 on the pics
If you aren't bothered about the sound quality, just get a speaker from any other clio, (or even possibly any Renault, just ask for 13cm ones) from your local friendly scrap yard.
Does that carry over to the interior I wonder? Tidy boot, tidy cabin vs. crap in boot, crap in cabin?
LY - any ravaged men rolling round in the footwells?
Welcome to the club; good plans for the car and it looks a lot better than I imagined it would. The chrome at the front and the huge badge I'm not too keen on though.
"If it happens again, I'm leaving
I'll pack up my things and go
If it happens again, they'll be no turning back
and I won't say I told you so"
