Problem with wheel bearing on clio

Even cheap Chinesse rubbish will last longer than that. Got to be something wrong with the fitting surely?

    Nikon 5100

It's always said that if you want to shoot video, buy a proper video camera. Just a gimick really in SLRs. Sounds like it's too late now, but why not buy a new lens for your existing camera if money is burning a hole?

Whats the oil pressure switch switching pressure on an F4R?

This tee piece you need - male or female threads and what size exactly for each leg? Confused about M14 and M10 requirements above. Possibly could knock you something up.

    Iffy central locking from keyfob

Take the key apart and you'll probably find the tiny button has become un-soldered from the PCB, or will as soon as you touch it. Had 2 keys do this, for 2 different ph1's. Managed to re-solder both of them back on though.

Taking the back seats out - got stuck - help required please!

Before you have a go at it and start the rounding off process, spray some WD40 or similar penetrating oil on the head and the threads if you can get to them. Make sure the head is completely free from crap to give your torx bit the best chance of working. Put a drift on it and hit it with hammer...

    Car feels like it's slipping...

Take it back to the garage that did the work? You've paid and it's obviously not right.

Man in a BT Van hit me

Sorry to see that mate, glad you're okay though and shame another ph1 has gone.

    My New Fiat Coupe 20vt

Nice cars. Friend had one (20vT) but sold it after getting quotes for the cam belt. He couldn't get anybody to do it without removing the engine. Looked in autotrader and they all seemed to up for sale around 70k with no mention of the belt change. Is this right, or can specialists do them...

    Fitting Eibach Springs

IIRC the damper is long enough to allow the spring to almost fully expand with the nut in place on the front. If you unbolt the rear damper, the beam drops down enough for the spring to fall out more or less.

Taking a pic of Andromeda Galaxy???

Thanks. Used this and this but it was a while ago and much better results can be obtained with modern digital gear and image stacking. I would highly advise getting some proper reading material on the subject if you want to have a go. There is plenty of suitable 2nd hand stuff available...

Taking a pic of Andromeda Galaxy???

Nothing as good as the images on that site, but my best effort: Try it - not as easy as it looks without all the gear those boys use.

Changed lights to PH2 style. Problem now.

I cut mine and completly rewired them as they were doing crazy things like the hazzards were flashing the fog light and also the fog light warning light on the dash. Depends how far you want to go, but if your sure you've got all the supplies off the car loom and sure that all your bulbs and...

    Wiper removal tool?

I made my own puller as I couldn't get my proper pullers on the small shaft and/or they foul the windscreen/bonnet. Used a piece of 1 inch by 2 inch box section steel, drill a 10mm hole in what will be the bottom side then cut a shallow vee from the edge of the box towards the hole. That will...

Is my gearbox about to go?

Would a longer 5th even be effective for reducing fuel consumption? Surely it's a 6th you would need? I can imagine you'd need to rev the nuts off in 4th before changing, thus negating any savings you would make with the longer 5th?

help, tumble drier is playing up

Most probably the starter or cap as you say. Easy fix. Don't let a shyster sparky change the motor for you (on exchange) for 100 quid. Theiving barstewards!

    Mirror Lenses? Any good?

Horrible lenes. You're not going to be 'zooming' them; their fix length, 500mm, 800mm even 1000mm. Be aware that they are stupidly hard to use well. The depth of field is tiny so (manual only) focusing is super critical even at the really slow speed they are (f/8, f/11 or even f/16). Get a 1.4x...

Is my gearbox about to go?

Bad times mate. Not sure if you are aware, but the bonnet catches were the subject of a recall due to them not being lubed up. Did you get this from a dealer? Guess not due to age. What's the service record like on this car? IIRC, the gearbox isn't even listed in any Renault service literature...

    First post ftw

Welcome to the club. What number is yours? As an aside, shouldn't we as a club have an offical register for the limited editions, or even a register against all the know colours?

    Rear Light Bulb Holder/Connector loom

You fitted different rear lights or something (noticed the LED'd clio)? My old clio did something similar after I fitted atermarket lights - had to re-wire them.

'Pay how you drive' car insurance

It's all fine when when there's a choice, but what happens when they force it on everybody? Don't think they will? Didn't they refuse to insure Escort Cossies back in the day unless they were fitted with a tracker? I'm sure this practice must still go on. Some companies (SKY insurance for...
