Those bolts are actually sexual! But I'm saving the pennies for the track days so will have to stick with my rusty originals for now :(
Yeah they are a must do mod for me now, my shocks are pretty old so might have to do the whole lot. Looking to do the swap in summer, can't really afford them...
Not really a 'project' update but I've stuck my new private reg plates on (21st birthday and Christmas present combined) and really happy with it. Not only does it have my name, but I think the fewer digits make it look cleaner. Here's a couple crap iphone pics taken in the rain of Leeds...
I have a couple tiny door dings from car parks, and thought about getting them removed but then was reminded how it's only us owners who really notice them. Save the money for fuel money!
Yeah I've rocked it and it doesn't rock stupidly easily, but it will move with only a small amount of effort. What should it do? Should I be getting no movement at all if I try and rock it myself?
The cars done 79000 miles and I assume hasn't seen bushes and mounts changed for a while so might...
I'm not sure if this is just normal, but wanted to check. Since my exhaust is going to be replaced soon due to falling to bits and blowing in numerous places, I looked under the car to see how far gone it was and noticed the cat moves quite a lot when revving, not necessarily high revs either...
Mine did this, first time for the ABS ring needing changing, got a new one off eBay for £5, and then more recently the brake pedal sensor, bought a new one for £12
Must have passed you twice (I stopped at a service station so fell back) and then saw you in Leeds again in the evening today. Nice car, looked very clean!
Mine was all corroded and had gone yellowy. I just sanded it with a very fine wet and dry and then polished it off with compound and it's like brand new. Saves £10 and literally looks like brand new
Just to renew this thread...just out of curiosity how many 182's came with the RS stamped inlets? Was it like a 50/50 thing your car has it or did a majority not have them?
This is the same as mine, it's probably your gel pack that's needing some attention, but when I fixed mine it only lasted like 2 days and then went back to how it was
Agreed this is really annoying, the screen is clean and dry and then it wipes again and adds new smears!
Mine don't work and haven't since I got the car. I used gel and got a temporary fix but now I cba and think the standard intermittent settings are fine
I feel like it's noticeably easier to engage a gear when the revs are matched and I like to maximise the use of engine braking so heel and toe'ing seems to make it easier and the gearbox seems to prefer it

Cheeky vid of me racing on Motors TV back in my karting hayday. Will be adding on board footage from my BUKC kart races throughout 2012, and hopefully track day footage in the 182
1.4 Grande Punto T-Jet. Very cheap to run and still just over 8 seconds to 60. Big as well so plenty of room for clubs! With the Sporting bodywork I think they're good looking too (but I am an Italian car fan boy!)
I bought these as damaged Cup Turini's and refurbed them white myself. Not sure if the Cup was supercharged, but the wheels were pretty badly damaged and corroded!
Could be the same issue as mine, the internals of the silencer maybe. The RS192 does away with that silencer IIRC so that could cure it!
Yeah that's a good shout, I think I'll change all bolts, springs gaskets etc when doing the exhaust. Can't wait to throw this old standard system in the bin!
Good news, got the car up on the ramp and found that the centre silencer (the one the connects to the cat) is the cause of the rattle, it's cracking on the join to the pipe, and the internals are rattling. The cat sounds fine and so I think it's just the exhaust that needs replacing. Really...
A few weeks ago up in Leeds after a few spirited drives.
Then this weekend I made her look like this after a polish.
And already the wheels look like this after the daily commute!
FML
Cool cheers guys, hoping it's just simple like that as the problem was almost unnoticeable on my commute today. Drove slowly and light footed and the car sounded fine tbh, it's only noticeable under load so thinking it's just the gasket/join that's needing replacing.
Bloody Renault exhausts are crap. I'm definitely getting new hangers, and I'll look more into the cat. Don't fancy throwing away £200+ on a cat if it's not needed obviously. I have a list of issues to sort on mine, many heat shields seem to be barely hanging on ha.
The RS192's look very nice, I...
Funnily enough my dad is a mechanic but he's very busy with work at the moment (everyone's cars are breaking down lol) and I'm working over Christmas so a new system isn't out of my budget. I just wanted to see if I could determine the likely problem, but yeah I agree the cat shouldn't be the...
My exhaust has been blowing for some time, and I was planning on getting a Yozza straight away but now I'm waiting for the new system that's coming out next year. Just today I was driving the car and noticed the blowing has become much louder, as well as the section immediately below the gear...
Sat in the office facing the A505 I noticed a RB 182 pass over the bridge that goes over Kingsway. Think I noticed a for sale sign in the rear passenger window too. I'm currently working in Luton everyday for my placement with Bam Nuttal so I'm part of the cause for all the road works around Luton!
