Just wanted to check if this is the correct ABS ring for my 54 plate 182 with cup packs?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-ABS-RING-44-TEETH-2002-ONWARDS-/170533790204?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b49b21fc
I've got a cracked ABS ring and I figure that's causing the...
Can't you just wrap it in blue? Then it also protects the paint underneath preserving it's value further.
I live in Leeds half the year and I'd be gutted to see this blue Trophy. The red lets people know from miles away it's the best RS Clio!
Both were on flat roads but yeah I assume the road I drove the 172 on was probably flatter on the edges. Tbh I was probably just worrying about nothing, I just thought I'd check to to see that it's not a common fault from higher mileage cars. I'll take mine for a spirited drive tomorrow and...
Ok thats good I thought that originally, I'm on some budget tyres that the car came with, hoping to fit Michelins soon.
So I've nothing to worry about? I was starting to think since the car's covered 74k maybe parts were needing replacement soon!
Had my car a couple months and tbh I thought nothing was wrong with it and was totally happy. But I drove a friends 172 the other day and noticed that my car felt a little worse under heavy acceleration in the higher revs.
Basically when accelerating hard up in the variable valve rev range, the...
Saw this Friday daytime, a 172 Cup driving the opposite direction to me on the M6 (IIRC) towards Tamworth. I passed you on the other side whilst heading towards Brum and caught a glimpse of the spotless paintwork and dark anth/black Turnini's. On here?
I'm 20 and never expected to be able to run a car like my 182 at this age mainly because of insurance! But working for my dad sometimes means I'm eligable for his traders policy and that makes it affordable, so it's a nice upgrade from my 1.2 8v Punto!
I've searched and come across literally 10's of threads about aerials, all talking about which looks the best. But I just want to talk signal.
Just want to know since I want to have good radio signal are the Mazda MPS aerials (eg...
My mates got one and it does beat some older 1.2 16valvers when absolutely thrashed. And it sounds pretty decent considering its a 1 litre! But I wouldn't say it's go kart like after racing karts for 8 years, the Clio is much closer to that! But the cheapness is a win.
And agree with leaving it...
Just a small update, done a few small things to the car including all round silvatecs, whiter sidelights, removed the security stickers and elf sticker, fitted my Pioneer head unit keeping the steering wheel controls (has drastically improved the crappy standard system so should do me for now)...
I got my mint 182 for £3500 a few weeks ago with 73000 miles on the clock, my dad's a mechanic and we've checked it over and it's been very well looked over and the engine runs like new. So Id' say go and find a mint 182, even if it's higher mileage if it's been looked after it'll be fine, I...
Racing blue is amazing I love mine. No issues with police, and everyone I know says it's a lovely colour. I've just come from a black car, and I will admit when black is polished and spotless it looks fantastic, but in this sort of car I think something bright and sporty is appropriate!
Cheers guys! Yeah I used to have the Punto lowered 50mm on springs, and loved the stance but carrying passengers on the motorway became an issue so I thought I'd leave the lowering on the Clio. Unless the Eibach's aren't so bad with a few passengers? I know coilies would probably be best for me...
Hi had my Racing Blue 182 with both cup packs for a couple of weeks now, and totally loving it! It's a great performance upgrade from my 1.2 8v Punto! Although I do love Italian styling, the value for money of a 2nd hand 182 was rediculous! Plus I used to race karts so I wanted something that...
Said it on puntomk2 and saying it here, the car is gorgeous! As soon as I have saved up some pennies over the next few weeks I'll be using yours as inspiration! 1st up splitter!
I guess he might have thought if it wasn't OEM that you might have modded the car and not declared the mod making the insurance potentially invalid.
I had a modded Punto previously and got pulled a few times, but never did the police act rude, they'd just ask if the mods were declared, I'd say...
Had my 182 for a couple of days now but have been noticing something that I want to clarify isn't a problem.
When I brake down to a crawling pace, as I nearly stop I feel what feels like the ABS kick the pedal up and make a knock sound. It doesn't hinder the braking at all, and only does it...
That's goergeous! I'm looking at a near identical one this weekend and seeing these pics has made me want it more!
Just wondering do the 182 cups come with the cruise control, trip computer and traction control normal 182s have?
I'm looking at a 182 tomorrow, hoping this one will be a good one I fancy buying!
Just found out the car is de-catted and the engine management light has come on, apparently the light only came on after the battery had gone flat recently and a mechanic has quoted the current owner £15 to switch...
Cool yeah I agree with that, wouldn't want a full on basic Cup despite liking the sounds of them previously. The only type of Cup I'd look into is the FF, with the luxuries.
I'll check this orange one out this week, and tbh even without the Cup setup if I like it I'll probably buy it! Just...
Cheers guys for the fast responses!
I probably wouldn't fit coilovers since my current car is so stiff I'm looking for at least a slightly softer ride, but at the same time I don't want a car that has stupid amounts of roll. Is a 182 without Cup packs likely to lift an inside rear wheel for...
Cheers yeah I was kind of thinking this, that the Cup pack would only benefit extreme track driving and to be honest I'm only likely to do a couple of track days. My Punto is currently lowered 50mm so I'm looking forward to a slightly softer ride!
And yeah love the orange colour, my favourite...
