You firstly have to remmber Renault investe a load in suspenion most cheap setups don't have one percent of the investment that Renault did so there upgrades arn't anywhere near as good IMO. Often people chnage the suspension and rave about it but then there comapiring worn 100k setups with...

    which pads for williams

I'd stick with stock pads for £17 cannot go wrong. Otherwsie ds2500's or ds3000 if you realy need but since your downgrading from 4 pots I'd say try stock if you don't like them ds2550 are the best idea.

    Best brakes for Clio Williams?

Rear brakes are fine as stock. For the fronts I'd forget big disk conversions I'd go for some 4 pots preferably dust sealed unless your going racing in which case you'll know why you don't want dust seals. Bigger disk just up the unsprung weight and mean bigger aloys usually and stock disk...

Power steering pump £240 + vat!

ITB's with air con will add more to the cost just th extra work sorting the condenor etc As for the cup setup tensioner yep its not cheap new best try second hand but its a great setup as its so simple to fix.
  15. E

Power steering pump £240 + vat!

Cup setup is designed for no tensioer (alternator is the tensioer as such) with coolent pump pas pump and alternator only driving off it. Usless trying to redesign somehting which already exists and works IMO.
  16. E

Power steering pump £240 + vat!

You can keep air con if you want with itb's. ITB's have no effect on the aux belt setup though.

    lack of ESP

Its not that effective compaired to a driver who is fully aware and knows the best way to respond in the given road conditions. For most of the time though its great when your half asleep.

If you want a hydrolic rack I'd keep the stock setup much easier and it works.
  22. E

Power steering pump £240 + vat!

The less thats there the less the power taken form the engine electric rack has advanatges (basically simple and it works no fluid etc) but looses as its work to fit plus looses feedback from the wheel)

    Bonnet Problems

  24. E

Power steering pump £240 + vat!

AUX belt powers the air con pump and since you'd want to bin that I'd want to also bin the whole setup for weight reasons so no condensor also no climate control/air con unit a nice simple heater matrix etc.
