If he wants loads of power IMO get a engine with bits out there there loads of turbo cars wherre the bits exist for 500hp off the shelf near enough. the Renault boxes arn't up to big power abuse.
If money not an issue then you can spend a fortune more than the cars worth.
leda for most stuff Bilstein top spec stuff is good but track sped more than anyhting.
Depends on mk2 phase 1 its the gearbox.
On the very early phase 2's its the gearbox still but its rare the rest use the abs system.
Use the abs system as it has a speedo out setup the clip will sort the dash out to use the speedo from abs not the gearbox sensor.
There rubish IMO the warently is desiratly needed as they fail so much and are to stiff a setup.
If only you had done a search though its been said before.
If I were you I'd send them straight back under the law and get a better setup.
Depends what else needs doing not just the service .
ABS ring or sensor might be broken get the wheels off and check I'd recon front rings might be cracked.
IMo there the best cheap coilover doens't mean there what I'd ever recomend though as good. There a bit hard.
You could have done a search though all your answers have been asked time and time again and loads of more people views
54mm hubs same as all 172's
Ali you know as well as me...
Doesn't mean that silkline is the "best oil" there no best anyway in the real world.
not many oils do have bad comments though do they loads of decinet enough stuff for most cars use out there just silkine admitidly its ok but its gets far better press than it maybe deserves but hey at the...
You could make one fit but for costs its not realy worth the hastle might as well do toher things at the same time.
The oil level works when you turn the car on then goes off.
The oil pressure and temp should work though I'd be worried if they don't might be a sign of somthing like a dying...
The cup has affected the prices it always does.
Why do you think I recon inflation has doubled though list price 182 was about £14.6k 197 are what £16k for realy a whole new car not a facelift etc a 9.5% price rise is good realy plus most 182 were cup packed so that a bit more vs the original...
Most places won't talk to you if you say cage its shows or gives a good indication of what the cars driving styl is.
Specialists only realy. Loads of palces won't touch any mods on cars and a cage is realy the most expensive modification to get added to a policy as its massive risk and most...
Thats not a proper cage though? Thats a half way house form a full cage. and a show cage and no point IMO.
If you can affod though there worth the extra.
Its quick enoug to swop the engine can be done in a day easy only possible isues are if you have any wiring/ecu issues if you get the wrong engine etc or the ecu is fried etc.
You'll need a Renault clip or similar to program the injectros codes though.
Second hand try renault specilaist...
Its a goiod enough oil its nothing amazing though particualy for the price.
Bulk buying of oils gets the price right down you can get away with £20 oil and filter changes usualy with labour when you buy good bulk bought oils.
But weight saving on it was never going to be much abs weight s abit but they cannot remove it with the EU laws in place.
How is paying extra money for a few other bits and pieces which some people don't even care about make somehting a better car?
The cup is a great idea its a cheap hot...
Some specilaist will say expect to pay that much as they recomend like I do the cambelt is chnaged then not 72k so cambelt service coolent chnage brake fluid chnage then new rear diks often etc it all adds up so they warn you to expect a big bill
Thats based on list price not the price paid...
For the hastle plus the damage plus there poor design its not worth it IMO.
Then you'dd have bigger problems over time. big expensive parts failing instead
Glad you like it but I don't recomend it.
