Better than standard...howl like a banshee while they are bedding in. :(
Good for the money...but there are a lot better disc/pad combo's out there. :)
So is the Cup back on the road full time then? Or is it a new car with Chris n Nic's old reg on it?
I still remember that car back in the days when FM and Jon swore that they would never touch a MK2 Clio! ;)
As Fred has said there's the Yozzasport stealth.
Also K-tec stealth and
Pro-speed. I have a Pro-speed on my Cup and it is made on the car itself...so you know that the exhaust is made specifically for YOUR car.
They are based in Cardiff (Pro-speed)
Yozzasport are based in Staffordshire...
Define cheap????
If you spend the money, fit them in the current car...then when upgrading, take the bucket seats out...put originals back in and transfer them to new car.
With your missus living in Telford...tell her to keep her eyes open for the Cobra Factory Sale (normally advertised...
Had the same back last November...but my car managed 58K! (Mostly motorway miles) Get another exhaust (not Renault) you'll lose the 4K rattle...it won't (or shouldn't) fail in the same place again. If you go custom, you can chhose the sound made and whether you want it stelath, cut through or...
Mine are not connected to water though, as the amount of water leaking out on these is crazy. One of my blanking plates on the Cup fell off it was £50+ for 2 blue blanking plates. It was about £23 ish for the pair and that included the bolt on the back. the whole item comes about 1½" into the...
Mine has had a problem with the Cliosport.net part...the t has fallen off and the n is partially ripped...I think its more due to my preparation of the window and sticker than the sticker.
Fred, If its THAT cheap, just need someone to fit it! (Kwik-fit will only put it on with an exhaust! Had to try as they were only place open today)
Is this the official Renault part, or a motor factors replica?
I'm glad it wasn't the exhaust, as I do like Charlie @ Pro-speed's work. He's also changed the build for the 172's exhaust, as there were a few failing because of the diameter of pipe going to the old backboxes (longer silencer). He now does cones onto the backbox so that the welds don't break...
Renault Manchester (Salford!) ;) would probably just nick it from another car!!!! Wouldn't trust that lot to touch me a car...never mind sell me one!
If they are THAT cheap...then could be much better than I first thought. :approve:
Cheers guys. :approve:
The whole episode has annoyed me a little, as I went all the way down to Cardiff thinking that it was the exhaust failing. Gotta get it done before the RR.
Do these parts take a beating in day to day use? Just wondering as Charlie did replace a spring on it when he...
There is an exhaust fitting kit comprising of 2 springs near where the gasket goes. I've been told that I need to get one from Renault.
Just need to know what the hell the part number is so that I can order one...If it makes sense...there are 2 springs (one on either side) coming from the...

Mandy said "Don't tell everyone!" ;) She doesn't want to be seen to be taking favourites...
PS. You've just dropped yourself in it to PC Mandy's car when she gets it :rasp: Do you think she should come on here and start posting properly??
If its like a rattle...normally about 4K upwards it is a known issue with the standard Renault exhaust. The only way to eradicate it is to buy an aftermarket exhaust!
From what you're saying, it sounds like it could be the 4K rattle.
She only wants it for driving mate...not to smother you! ;) :quiet:
Its not to prop her up...but put her back forward as she had a lumbar puncture a couple of years ago, and her back ain't been right since. With the strain she's putting on it trying to drive, its easier to get a support than...
Thanks for that. :)
I think that the kind of support she's after is not the 'roll' type, but something where it is across the base of her spine, but just enough to push her forward a little.
I'm struggling to find her anything. Any more input greatly appreciated. :)
Its probably based on the amount of time and effort involved...Claying properly isn't a 2 minute job!!!
How long does it take YOU to clay your car?
Plus, its once every so often, so it isn't like its something you need to do every month or so, is it?
If you don't want to pay for the...
Mandy (The Mrs.) requires a lumbar support for driving. She's only 4'9" tall, so has the seat high up, but because of her seating position, she is putting a hell of a lot of pressure on the base of her spine.
Are there any lumbar supports out there (the car is a Cup...so no lumbar support in...
Has...still can't believe the car is only a 1.2! So much effort with no expense spared...still looks gorgeous (although you know I'm not a fan of the spoiler). Good Luck with the sale, can't say you'll need it as everyone knows the effort you've put into that motor. :)
Nice Work Jay, makes a...
