Each to there own but nope. Its a weight and design issue.
Any clio bar the V6 and 197 will fit PCD and center bore wise just idealy need a 15 as a 14 means if you get a flat front you have to swop a frotn to back and stick the 14 on the back as its not big enough to clear the calipers.
I woulnd't go off the original build spec.
58mm are none sports sport models are 54mm ie 172 and none cuped 182 or 60 for the cuped 182's
Any place which sells 58 for a 172 or 182 walk away from stupid mistake to make that they should know better.
Firstly no offence intended but you plainly didn't search so no use claiming you did.
Stock Haynes does cover most of the stuff you need as for the manaul I have a 172 Phase 1 one if you want a copy drop me an email

No 182 ever came with a spare wheel the well was deleted as part of the exhaust design.
Wheel doens't weight much though. Gains well if you ever get stuck without a spare and you'll appreciate the 0.05 of a second faster to 60 times times you got from removing it or not having it are useless.
Best option IMo is a spare.
All Clios (V6 and 197 excepted) and many other Megans etc use the same sized wheels PCD etc wise just offset which can be trouble but most are ok for spare.
You idealy want a 15 inch spare as it will go on any corner then else a 14 will do just if a front burst...
Nope stock good engine can hit the 7.2k limiter which is about 144mph.
Speedos are a bit inaccurate but realy best gauge is hitting the limiter in top or GPS readout and adverages in both directions to account for hills etc.
This has been posted and remtioned before.
172/182 buyers guide.
http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=276833 is a better guide IMo as that strike one has a few errors in it.
Yep pain to do the cambelts 15 mins for the aux belt but 5.2 hours for the cambelt.
Yep need special tools as well to do it right.
Persnaly I'd never gte any garage to do a 172/182 belt wunless they have the tools and have done them before to many "good" garages have messed them up before now.
SRpm shoulnd't be increased as stock is high enough for warently.
As for fuela dn ignition maps (the only other bits chnaged) then they are set as an optimum for the car no point realy touching them unless the car has other bits done as the gains are so small IMO.
