172/182 buyers guide...
I woulnd't ever just use springs though IMO its stupid waste of time do it right or not at all. Since there no decinet shocks ou there keep with the stock ones after all if all you want is lowering springs on the cheap ride etc arn't top of the owners lists often.
Get one custom made.
There was made by a company I forget the name but for the price and Don't think they even sell them now a cstom made would be cheaper
there better things for gains you can get before needing one though.
As said you cannot get the service history form Renault Uk only if you ask round can you get the copy of warentyl work don which might help work out where the car might have been serviced.
They are desinged to use different inputs.
Other option is to strip the dah down and stick a different set of of dials in it desinged for different inputs etc.

Just take the seats out cannot have any trouble for MOT then.
Get the V6 fitted much more fun. It looks like it will fit a forum member on here was due to do the project but the owners got stuck with no decinet car or money.

75/90 oil is what you need.
3.1 liters ish is what you'll need.
There laods of choice and no idealy one the renault stuff is very goodf though. Then there Royal purple at twice the price etc.
its not harmful to paintwork.
As for the sunroof there are fixes if you've exhausted all the fixed (there a few stages Renault can apply) then just leave it I always try pour a load of deider over the sunroof seal to help stop cracking of the seals and ensure there ok when deicing
That self diagnostis does nothing its only point is to prove all the lights work and the dials go though there correct banding the codes it throws are pointless and show nothing.
A good garage might have a decient enough setup but renault clip is the bet and not many none dealerships hold it.
