182 have different ECU mapping so if you unplug the secon sensor you'll get the warning light thrown up instantly if you leave it in it will come on in time how long depends could be the next day or 10 years away.
Yep fix the issue don't bodge repairs the damaged part has been bent beyond what it shoudl be so could fail later .
