Theres no best you have to decide price wise H and R are superb but £750 or so.
Fitment depends where you go can fit them in a few hours a proper expect setup place say runs 1 to 1.5 degree negative camber and stagith toe. An expect will corner weight the car as well though.
Best do a search for a bit of a guide I've written a few brief guides.
But if your car knodge is limited pay somone or ask a mate who knows what he's doing to help/teach you this isn't something you can can afford to not know what your doing or not do for money reasons.
Yep no arch liners and to stop corrosion and other wiring issues you need to underseal and protect all the engine wiring etc.
Get your wheels sorted as on the right offset they shoulnd't rub.
I've yet to see any recomendations for them you won't get one form me there rubish value for money unless you want them for looks IMO.
Yep new rear calipers or refusb make the difference.
Drilled disk are not needed there just hastle stock disks are much better.
best thing is to make sure...
Suspension setup details for Mk2 none sport 14 and 15 inch wheels
Williams (all phases)
Mk2 phase 2
Mk2 phase 2 (the ones with the 1.2 are different so seperate details are listen for them)
172 Cup
Phase 2 172
phase 1 172
182 both Cuped and none cup packed cars
Mk1 V6...
Each to there own but the stock mounts are more than up to the job upgrading to this in't always the ideal solution for all owners.
I forget the parts number £70 or so a side for the whole kit the donut the hat the nut the bearing and the under bonnet thingies. You cna use the normal car...
Done it in other cars but take people advice here forget it for the hastle vs price etc.
Problems are usualy
ECU/UCH failed
Gearbroxes failed
Electrics wiring not working or fitting
Issues with parts not being fitted right and failing
Need to sort ABS/PAS/air con etc depending on...
You cannot buy the bit seperate.
It will fit a 172 though form memory.
This has been discused loads before there is a part from another car which does fit but do the job right new arms are £60 from Renault
Depends how yoor going about it do you want to keep your ABS computer oe chnage the rear axle etc?
You can just get the rings made up to use any combination of ABS and husb etc. UCH arn't factors with the swops anyways .
Ok IMO forget it your using a stack dash anayway arn't you? And you PAS doesn't need a speedo input does it?
I'd personaly upgrade to a Mk2 abs system and use that for your speedo output. if not well use a speedo output from one of the wheels ABS sensors.
You could get the speedo to work...
Re: 70% complete 172RWD!
It should be SVA'd realy best read up on what it is but the car quite modified enough to be a radicaly modified car will keep the same reg if the engine the original one and gearbox or same spec codes and once its done no need for MOT for 3 years.
If your using a good quality pad and fitting them ok with copper etc and it won't go away then your stuck they are going to a bit after all there not a road caliper like normal stuff.
