    5-40 or 10-40 fully synthetic even semi synthetics fine but best get it all chnaged for fully synthetic.

    Road legal nope since there not been E approved as such but it doens't realy matter they can squeek a bit when cold and are harder on disk for wear.

    Lowering Springs Q

    Best springs are the ones Renault supplied with the car IMO. If you want anyhting better spend a load of good coilover kit or else forget it. Eisback (or however you spell it) if I had to pick a spring to fit though.

    172 headlights when lowered

    Take it tio an MOT station if you want to do it proerly and tyhey'll adjust it or else get the car to the normal ride height then measure the beam height on the wall and adjust the beam to about ther same position.

    Nope have a read up about hub bolt spacing for a start springs are should be different but companies who make springs don't invest much in devolopment and since they can be fitted they leave it at that 172/182 are different depends on what version were on about Forget it do it right or not...

    Ring any good fitment place and they'll supply the rignt one personaly I'd have the heavier and stronger normal one fitted anayw as the Cup windscreen is IMo to subseptable to damage. Its tiny realy. Rear window will come out.

    loose seats

    I agree can be the bolts form the seat back to the lower seat. Can also be the rails though new sets are £50 i think easy enough to change.

    Depend how its maintained age is the bigger killer along with lack of use and servicing the earlier generation 172 engine used in the williams are over 300k now without issue.

    Lower the first number the more vischious it is at low temps 10 weight is suitable for the pumps etc on the RS etc engines down to -20 degrees the standard requied minimum 5 protects down to -25 degrees

    No need for a remap the car doens't ned it need to fnd the real caudse of the proplem ie is the car due a service is the engine ok running wise etc.
