I fitted one of these in an MG ZR, used the perm' live from the stereo to power it (just earthed it behind the dash). Its on all the time but you only see it flashing in the dark.
I have a similar whine on my 172. I think it probably is the PAS pump, however I did read somewhere that 172s do suffer from this due to a fairly restrictive PAS return pipe, this was apparently changed for a bigger bore pipe on 182s. This info came from a RS Clio buying guide (can hunt for it...
Not if your handy with a soldering iron. You can get a new port from Maplin for a few quid. The hard part is taking the mainboard out of the laptop and replacing the socket. If its still under warranty phone the manufacturer, get them to do it for you. This is of course assuming the port is the...
I just put new sidelight bulbs in my 172 yesterday. They are pretty easy to do. Look in the front of the light and you can see the side light bulb in the same section as the main beam bulbs. On the back of the light unit pull off the round rubber cap, then you have to pull the sidelight bulb...
I am a Blackberry Enterprise admin at work, this is how I wipe security policy settings from handsets (method 2 always works).

These things are usually configured via a webpage. I have not used a Snap before but if it were me I would connect it up on a network with a DHCP server so it should pick up an IP on its own. Then do an IP scan (use 'Angry IP Scanner'). You should hopefully get a hit on the IP the Snap box has...
Went to the Renault dealer today to get an oil filter. Asked about the bulb, they quoted £140 for 1! Looking on eBay a pair of xenon bulbs are about £25. Why the huge price difference?
Thinking about it I might as well replace the front indicators with silvatech bulbs and put in LED sidelights. Best to shop on eBay or can anyone recommend a dedicated auto bulb web site?
Just noticed the drivers side headlight on my 172 is not working. Seems to be a minefield of Xenon bulb choice out there, not sure what to buy and from where! Did read a few other threads, so I know it's a bumper off job. Any advice on bulb choice, what are the standard ones?
I am in Plymouth. I will add my name to the devon/cornwall members list once I get my full membership sorted (I am guessing that's why I can't post at the moment). I saw your thread about the meet on the 28th, I would love to come along but already have plans to go off-road buggy racing that day...
Thanks for the welcomes. Alloy wise I was thinking of something multi-spoke, like Kei Force 10s (but not quite as pricey). I am loving my Clio so far :) I really need to get some decent audio in there though, the standard stuff is not the greatest!
Vibe speakers are awesome. they do a nice front set with mids tweeters and crossovers, fitted a set in my sisters MG ZR a few months back. Very nice sound.
You can use a flushing additive like Wynns, then you have to add it to the oil (as danno172 said use cheap oil for that). You can also get a 5 litre can of flushing oil and put that in. Its no good to drive with it in but leaving the engine at idle will free up the gak.
If you have a clean drain can (I usually cut the side out of an empty 5 litre one) you can save the engine oil you drain and re-use it (you mentioned just having changed it last week, just be sure to keep it clean and don't let any containments get in it!). After running a flushing oil I would...
