yea i was told by the previous owner of my car that the ESP button was also sportmode and if held for so many seconds it kicks in. ! no that line didnt sell me the car i was after another 172 and it was a nice one .

just got a new aux belt kit from renault managed to get it for £90. so how much u reckon for someone to fit?

the 172 i recently bought is in need of a new aux belt, the one that the previous owner had fitted cost £17.36 ( just for the belt) i have the recipets im going off ! and now the tensioner wont handle the belt or sommat like that the mechanic said so now im paying £100 + for the proper kit from...

hi i aint sure if the tensioner was changed at the same time both belts was fitted in december and i purchased the car on jan 5th, my dad used to be a mechanic and my step dad also said the belt is loose, a garage had also said this. it could well be the tensioner im going getting it booked in...

my aux belt has come loose and is affecting my steering as well as screeching when driving. i took it back to the place who fitted both belts in december and he is not willing to fix it even tho the belt as come loose only 5 weeks after fitting it !! he says because i purchased the belt...

fink they came on a 52 onwards plate . i have this tho tbh when is it on ? when u press it and the light comes on is that when it works? when does it flash then when the light is off and its being used? sorry lol sounds irish lol but my last 172 was a 02 and i never had ESP before.

you look on ebay most of the Clio sports for less than £3000 are clio cups. My opinion they are worth less. a decent 172ff wont go for less than £3000

the guy i bought my 172 off said the ESP button was also sportmode once held in for 10secs.. lol

i have a full powerflow system so i would say yes i can feel a big difference from my previous 172 which was standard tho my current car is also chipped with induction kit also.... not too sure how much bhp im gettin tho tbh

I have just bought my 2nd Clio sport 172 on monday, hpi accident clear. no dents,scrapes etc,52 plate,silver FRSH, both belts just done, with service, 12 mnth MOT n TAX, 62k on clock, imaculate inside and out. all reciepts,2x keys. £2,800. so there are bargains to be had out there..

i had this vts inbetween having both my 172's and tho it looks good its cheap and boring inside and yea the stigma is crap of a chav car. plus boyracer in puntos zoom up ya arse to race... i dnt get that in my 172 !

lol its got 45k on clock sh etc. looks nice i had a 172 ff b4 so i pretty much know wot to look for etc for faults etc. only problem is gettin train all way up there lol.

Someone has decided to damage my door and bonnet.. parked in a rough area of town for 1 night ...... :( :mad: anyhow i need a bonnet and door... is 172 door and bonnet different to other clios of same year.. i mean could i go to a scrappy for the parts then take somewhere for spray or would...

i wouldnt worry bout it mate. mine could be it doesnt have a std alarm but its got the cd changer and etched windows with locking nuts.. anyof which could of been fitted afterwards. All french at end of day !!

i have it on mine, took it garage over 4 months ago put it on diagnostice machine nad nothing could be found, i can only think that when the car failed MOT 4 months ago on a lamba sensor- the garage didnt reset the light.. tho i would of thought it turns of auto?!?

do i need to get the trip comp onto the mpg, milage or jst leave that as it is and press the button?

Im trying to reset my MPG or more to the point the milage next time i fill up, i aint a clue how to reset it. please can someon be of assistance and tell me !?:o many thanks

I will keep looking it is a FF 182 im after in racing blue. any dealer will do trade wise doesnt have to be a main dealership. i totally didnt even think of the 55 plate and warrenty tho like you said there arnt many about. thanks guys :)

would rather get from a dealer.. i know it cost a little more but i have always bought private and ended up with either a write-off or faults with car after getting it home. Without getting robbed too much i just wanted a guide of what i shouldnt pay over from a dealer for a 182 with both cup...

Im shopping around for a 182 with cup packs, Racing blue the only colour i want.. tho i would consider black as a 2nd, i want approx 54/ 05 reg and less than 50k on clock. i want a clean example. how much should i be looking at paying? advice welcome,

i dont know the previous owner wantd to ruin it with 182 gearboxes etc.. he didnt have a clue what he was doing thats when i got a bargain and put it right
