carbon lorraine i was thinking and i dont mind going through discs as they are a fraction of the cost of pads. wheres best to get them?
carbotech might be good on an evo but has anyone tried them on a clio. i used hawk htc on my pulsar which are what the touring car and f3 use. fantastic...
Right i am after some thoughts/advice on my front brakes on my 182.
it is purely for trackdays so no worries about road driving.
The story so far : had max hc discs with ds2500 lasted just over 3 track days good feel but lacked inital bite and faded a bit after 10 laps...
have tried the ds2500 which were good but have gone for the ds3000 this time. see g172 the brake man for all your brake needs. top bloke and fantastic service.
oh and yes braided lines, better brake fluid and decent discs
if only i had a bit more time and money i would enter this year, but will just have to wait till next year.
will hopefully get to come and watch a few.
fantastic been waiting for these.
so just to check , no camber bolts? also when it says remap i take it that includes rs tuner?
just checking as these are about the only mods on my car.
oh ok , its just on my old pulsar i had willwoods with some hawk htc pads in which had done 6 trackdays and were only 1/3 worn if that.
but if thats about right for the clio then i will just have to lump it.
hi peeps, just wondering how long people get out of there track day pads as i have just gone through a set of ds2500 in 4 track days which seems a bit excesive.
cheers for all your replys.
i did look at the insurance route but it is tied in with my no claims not separte like most.
i will do some shopping around to see what i can find
cheers rob
thanks everyone for your help , lots for me to think about.
i think i will strip the car first and get the roll cage in, then work out how to put the fire extingusher in and the 2 battery cut offs.
All this talk with the new race series has got me very interested so i am looking at converting my 182 over the next year ready for 2015 ,as this will give me plenty of time to do the car/save for the series costs and get some practice in.
So i was wondering if the cage and seat have a lifespan...
hi and welcome. fairly new myself but after a couple of track days i am chuffed to bits with it.
the search button will help alot.
as far as i understand there is no need to decat as it is a sports cat and doesnt restrict the flow.most people seem to change it for a better sound and to save some...
