It was on then I turned it off via key and the Airbag light on the dash went off to be replaced with the Airbag switched off light instead!
SERV light is still on even after erasing the fault code, thought that would have stayed off.
Air bag light is on, does sometimes go off but more often than not comes on, got MOT in a few weeks so need to sort it out.
I also have the SERV light on but that I think is down to the rain sensor being unattached - new windscreen fitted but wrong type!
I turned off the SERV light but it does...
So they are just 'glued' on on the 182? What do you use to re glue it?
I am just looking at options as mine needs replacing as the outer plastic lense is cracked.
Quicky lads.
I was wondering - I have no idea If it's possible but can you strip down a 182 Xenon headlight in order to basically swap out the bits n bobs into a new lens??
I have a working Xenon which is all good inside but the lens is cracked and was wondering If I could transfer all the...
Update.
Spoke to the guy yesterday and he 'offered' me £300 to which I explained the quotes back to him! He asked me to then ring his Wife tomorrow (today)
Ok, so I spoke to the Wife and explained the situation again and she was rather understanding to my surprise and is paying the £460 on...
Evening all.
I've been quoted £360 to get it sorted by a bodyshop near me , take 3 days apparently! and £120 by a mobile who have a decent rep, is that about right?
It is not me who will be paying, person who went into the car - his fault wants to settle away from insurance but I doubt he...
This is the first question I asked tbh.
Thanks for the replies btw.
I haven't officially 'claimed' yet but my insurance is aware obviously so is that enough at this stage to push my premiums up next year?
I'd rather possibly go the route of getting a couple of hundred off the chap now!
Advice please all.
Mrs was involved in a low speed collision in Tesco car park, other drivers fault on a mobile phone failing to stop at a junction going staight into the passenger front side.
She took all his details. Rang my insurance and they tell me it could be wrote off! bit shocked tbh...
Anyone tell me which fuse it is as I am stuck at work and the Mrs needs to stop the fans as they ate on full blast!
I know its on the fuse box cover but shes a woman lol
Cheers.
You can get a new one for £50 although not obviously the Valeo one, that's over £100 I've done some digging If it turn out to be that that's shot.
£400 ATS! hahaha, jokers.
I've heard it's pretty easy to fit too although it's bumper off job.
Alrite lads,
I'd like to pick your brains for a final time before I get ready to launch my French friend into a river ?
Ok following on from this thread here --> clicky where basically I had a hole in the high pressure pipe which I then replaced with a second hand used one - was assured it was...
I must have missed something because I undid the top 2 bolts - near the bonnet catch and I couldn't move it!
Like I said before I managed to do the job with the bumper and slam panel still on but life would have been much easier with them off!
I just wanted to know the reasons why I couldn't...
Yeah makes sense now that, I managed to unbolt one side and thought balls I've made a right mess of that only to realise it's a 'fork' in the plastic ans supposed to be like that doh!
On a sort of related note, I couldn't get the slam panel off either! I couldn't get access to the 2 lower...
Bump(er) sorry!
How do you get the 10mm bolt off under the wheel arch - not the arch liner Torx ones If they are rusted on?
I needed the bumper off the other day but gave up trying to get one side off it was that badly corroded/rusted.
Could I have cut them off then replaced them with...
Bump.
I had it regassed today and it went pete tong!
I JB welded it thought great, put under pressure and booom went everywhere!!
Bad week for no air con too, back to square one -fitting a new pipe, worth a try though.
Fit seemed ok to me, I didn't burn the old rubber out though just used a stanley knife took a while though!
I managed to use brute force with a little fairy liquid and a clamp to ease it in, seems fine to me.
Fitted mine today as the oem ones were finally dead, some serious banging when going over bumps were occurring.
I've not really drove the car since fitted - just around the block although I did maybe hear the heatshield now flapping onto the backbox, will fit some bigger washers as the ones...
Final bump on this.
Once the bumper is off, is it a case of simply undoing a couple of bolts to get the pipe out?
I promise I'll leave this thread once I get the answer to this ?
Ok, cheers STEVE.M.
I was rather hoping there was a guide tucked away somewhere but alas not after looking.
Once the bumper off is it relatively easy job to do? I see one bolt to undo but not much else - bumper is hiding others I presume.
I may even do a guide If I get to do this myself to...
Garage did the belts so I wouldn't know 100% either way to be honest!!
Can anyone answer my original question please as I don't have a clear idea of work involved yet!! and I am curious to know now.
Cheers!
Bumper hasn't been off since I bought it in 2004! So the bumper has to come off then 100%? can't do it without??
Do you or anyone else know what else is involved? is it straight forward once the bumper is off?
How hard/easy is it? Do you have to take the bumper off?
I have a very small hole on the smaller of the two air con pipes caused by a plastic bit of clip rubbing against it grrrrrrr
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers.
