Dixons are Sh1t, I had no end of trouble, Pocklingtons of Louth are great, do what they say with no messing around.
Dont worry about anyone being sacked it will never happen its all show.
Right im after an exhaust but unsure of which is best in terms of fitment, quality and noise(dont want a loud one)
Give me your thoughts on or any other that are bettter;
scorpion
devil
mongoose
magnex
janspeed
cheers
I could be something as simple as the exhaust hitting/rubbing due to something being out of alignment, get them to have a good look underneath when they do the mount.
I think you will find the Gripper is a form of locking differential, and as such enables you to drive with only one driveshaft (such as finishing a rally stage) if it gave any amount of continuous slip this would not be possible.
So what it does is that it allows limited speed differential...
RS turbos had a viscous coupling not a ATB type.
The noisey and aggresive LSDs are the plate types, a correctly fitted ATB diff will not be anymore noisey than the std type.
The only difference you would notice is maybe a little more torque steer.
All this talk of being more noisey and more difficult to drive is crap and usually from people that have or will never have driven a car fitted with one.
Tail happy PMSL utter rubbish!
Obviously all this will be backed up with differential pressure tests showing how bad the std one is, just because it has bends in it it dosnt mean its full of restrictions.
Oh and the std paper filter Will filter better than the aftermarket types.
The std setup is by far the best in terms of filtration and cost effectiveness, the std setup even has a ducted cold air feed. What more could you want.
Its the placebo effect that makes all the people with aftermarket filters think they have good gains. Of course tuners will reccomend filters...
OK for the track and racing, but a pain in the rear for everyday its the same with harnesses.
And as for safety if you drive within your limits and to the conditions you tend not to crash;)
