With 197 cams and assuming it's been set up correctly timing wise then it should be more than 182. It would be good to get a reliable power graph after spending so much, it's only another £40 plus fuel to Farnborough.
Go for it! They do at least look nicely finished. If you can, take a trip to Surrey Rolling Road afterwards for a reliable rolling road test. Would be good to see what it makes.
I got mine matched about six years ago after reading such posts. I expected to notice a small difference, as 8 hp is about 5%. It felt no different. Taken as a package with supporting changes, improved flowing exhaust, decat and a remap (plus a healthy engine etc) then a 5 - 8 hp might be...
I've just replace a fuel pipe that had split possibly due to age on my Ph1 172. I removed the pipe, cut off the damage part and tried to heat up the pipe and fit it to the connector, but it just broke apart as it was very fragile. It's worth checking you fuel line flow and return and check the...
It will be from Renault, you'll need to call your local dealer. Look up the part number it's printed on the sensor cable in order to get the right one.
Is it an after market exhaust or standard? If it's an after market type buy some sealant like this http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repairs/head-gasket-exhaust-repairs/loctite-5920-premium-silicone-copper-gasket-maker-sealant
I have a Pro speed exhaust on my Clio and on my Subaru. He has got better at it with time. He replaced part of the system on my Clio and he funded the cost of the fuel to get there.
You can check the resistance of each sensor in turn and they should be 1.6 front and 1.0 rear, and constant. There is a Youtube guide on how to do this. New rings will cost £10 each. I've just fixed mine.
Looks sha**ed. Got mine here: http://www.ukpartsdirect.com/products/abs-reluctor-rings-1/abs-reluctor-ring-161.html
I drifted off the ring before taking the stub axle off - this helps to support it.
Grand. I fitted new ABS rings this afternoon (with 44 teeth this time) and everything now works fine. I have just been out to properly bed in the pads again along the bypass and no ABS issues, even on the rough parts of the road where it used to cut in before.
Confusing as another thread says it's 26. That's what I have just put on and the ABS is kicking in. Dialogys doesn't show it so I'll check with Adam at Renault see if he sells them.
Take it to Charlie at Surrey Rolling Road and for £40 you will get the answer! Use 165 hp as a benchmark. In the past I had one in the same situation, 140k plus and it made 159. Further investigations showed two of the valves were leaking and it was down on compression in cylinder 1. If it's not...
Disconnecting the ABS will cause the warning light to come on. I'd try and get prices for an exchange driveshaft and a ring, if there isn't much difference I'd just replace the driveshaft.
I don't recognise the last one, but the others are indeed your arch liner. It's common for them to get holes in or fall off after catching on the wheels when the cars are quite old like a 172 Cup. You will pay quite a lot for a new one, contact Renault Wolverhampton via the traders section on...
Real world differences on the road are often small (but try against a Noble, flippin 'ell is all I can say!). IMO the Clio isn't an easy car to drive quickly as you need to be precise with revs and gear changes.
