    Good Cheap Alpine HU

Hi Ollzie, Adding a more powerful headunit should drive the speakers better so the sound quality should improve throughout the sound range, however most aftermarket coaxial speakers work better with a dedicated amp as they are able to drive the speakers better. I have had the Infinity...

    Girlies insurance?

HI Hayley, Although I am not female, I would suggest trying the likes of Elephant, Direct Line and Churchill Tesco and Co Op. I am still a young drive at 22 and Ive always found these people to be good, my twin sister uses Liverpool Victoria, oh if you are a student you could try a specialist...

    Good Cheap Alpine HU

Hi, As a brand Alpine are well respected and I personally would only look at them. Looking at the features there is not allot of oppertunity to upgrade, only one pre out would make life hard should you wish to amp your speakers (Highly recommended) I do admit Alpine do have so many models it...

Hi, Chips-away if they can be bothered to answer their phones or Dent devils would be a good choice, Halfrauds also deal with a company called shine who can do dent removal aswell! Rich :)

HI All, I am looking at doing a suspension mod to my clio 182, I am still a little confused if the sportline will offer any better handling or if they are just stiffer and lower than the pro's? I was thinking of getting a set of the powerflex poly bushes to go with the springs, as the standard...

    FAO Neil@Greenlight

My mate used to work in insurance, I don't know if this is correct but I was told that if you are in possesion of an insurance certificate by law you were covered for at least any damage caused by you to a third party? I could be wrong though. Hope you get this mess sorted out I am sure its...

Hi all, This sort of comes under interior. Iv'e noticed that the dirvers side window has a smudge line runing down it in one paticular place, as if something is rubbing against it, Anyone experienced the same fault or am I unique? Does anyone have any suggestions what it could be? The car is...

    induction kit clio 1.8 16v

HI, You could either look at the K and N 57i kit or one of the pipercross filters, cold air is better than an open element as it will not soak up as much heat. Persoanly I dont like Induction kits and removed a viper from my clio 182 after two days. I agree if you want to do anything spend your...

    my kenwood headunit

I can only comment about my alpine headunit, this had a seperate blue wire called remote turn on that is used for the amps, I would check the wiring diagram for your headunit carefuly as mistakes can be costly. Good luck! Rich

    Buying car audio online!

Hmm thats a twisty twist. I have to say ive always been driven on price so would have no hesitation on going online, but then I am an IT geek and dont have an issue with it. Alpine head units are usally well built and have a good reputation. Let me know what you decide and how you get on. Rich

    Buying car audio online!

I had the same issue and yes I did get the unit online and have had no problems. I guess the best advice would be to ask the online retailer what their returns policy is and how they handle faults and warranty claims. It can become a huge headache if the unit fails and Alpine will not repair...

    Buying car audio online!

I would agree with the above comments. You do pay for the service you receive but at the same time they do a really neat job. I did order my alpine head unit online and have had no issues. However the sub and amps etc did come from a proper dealer and once setup sound awsome. Most dealers are...

    Audio Dealer Scratched My Genesis

Hey Stu_c Glad you got it sorted! Wiper mechanism

Hi. To be honest I cant comment on cost, mine was done under warranty. I am beginning to think that I am going to have an expensive time owning this car! I think the mechanisum is covered by a plastic cover thats visable once you open the bonnet, its held on by two plastic screws at either end...

    Wiper mechanism

Hi Yorkshire lad, I had this very same issue last month, The wipers were making a grinding/squeeking noise when moving across the screen. Renault at first replaced the motor and then admitted once the fault returned that it was the link arm assembly that was not tightned correctly. Rich

    Component speakers

Anyone Have any thoughts/comments at all? I am sorry if I have asked a silly question Out of interest did anyone notice any performance decrease with all this weight in the car? my amps alone arent the lightest thing in the world :(

    Stereo Remote

Hi marko, There is three things to note here 1st one is that make sure you are using a remote ready headunit, second Alpine do a stalk control module box about £45 and you will also need an adapter lead that plugs into the display because its my understanding that the connector to the display...
