Just been out in the car and it was the first time the car has been moved since Tuesday. I drove normally in town for about a mile and then going round the roundabout into Asda the engine management started to flash for about 20 to 30 seconds and then went off just before I parked.
I've then...
What sort of match is the anthracite to the original colour?
and if it's a good match could you tell me what it is please as I fancy doing my spare as a rubbish garage made a mess of it.
172 Cup outside The Railway pub in the Town Centre this afternoon about 4ish. R**CUP was the reg I think.
Black 182 possible 53 plate at the Lakeside about 4.30ish, heading towards the roundabout before the Keepmoat Stadium. Women driver - looked as if it had been washed and loads had been...
If the car is in good nick otherwise, then do a LOT of research on here and get it fixed.
Beware though - things go wrong on all cars and you will have to spend money at times on a 182. It's worth learning the basics and saving yourself pennies and if you do you'll end up knowing more about...
Fitted it yesterday - pretty easy. No idea if it'll fix my exhaust problem and there's no real vibration to speak of. However when I give it beans in first there is a noticable difference - at times the car would feel a bit weird as the revs got higer, making the odd noise (as if the exhaust was...
Joint/springs etc have been changed within the last year, all areas of the heat shield checked too. The exhaust is blowing again from the manifold to cat joint - I've got a powerflex dog bone on order and the fitting kit too.
I have no idea about oils apart from what I've read on here. However - price tends to dictate quality to some respect in most things, so whilst I dont always got for the top end stuff, I'd certainly stay clear of the low end cheap like triple r unless I'd seen reviews praising it to the max.
Yeah but I want a one to fit on a standard system or my 192 Scorpion system - bolt on, bolt off as I haven't got the ability or equipment to chop and weld! So that would also cost me money.
There's Scorpion ones on eBay that look the correct fit for £64 delivered, so I think I'll probably go...
Probably have to replace mine though as tbqh I'm sick of the rattle. It's just got through an MOT, but it annoys me. Cheapest I've seen is £100+ delivery on eBay and I've no idea how good/bad they are. Can't be bothered with a second hand cat.
Different car completely but on a Cav Sri 16v I had a few years ago I noticed a bit more pull low range, revved more freely and a lot more noise. I dont expect anything much I just think for the price it might be a good idea all things considered.
I'm looking into getting a decat for my 182 for several reasons. Firstly as my cat seems to have a bit of a rattle at 4k which is gradually getting worse, also as I'm thinking of getting the car mapped and people tend to mention on here it's only worth it if you have inlets/exhaust(have)/decat...
First time I've seen this. I'm a bit of a Renault fan having bought a 182 and also having drove my mates R5GTT a few years ago, but I could say that of a few marques in all honesty. What I really am is a fan of sports cars, especially ones made for the masses and ones of the 70s, 80s and 90s -...
First time I done mine it hadn't been done for a while and it took over an hour (really) of messing to get off with a chain tool.
Since then I've done it twice and it's been tight, but once you get the knack of how to get the chain on and do it it's a minute or two job, seeing as I only do it...
Does anyone know of the cheapest place to get one of these either reconditioned or new?
Eurocarparts have quoted me £78.60 which include a surcharge of £18 apparently.
My local place has quote £75, plus a £10 surcharge but they reckon they may be able to beat that as they have two other...
After doing a bit of research, would these fit?

My cars just failed it's MOT on having little or no parking brake on the drivers side.
A few weeks ago when it was in for a (poor) body repair they also done the passenger side hand brake cable. The guy said when he test drover the car that the rear brake seemed to have been sticking on and...
