He means 'tax' as in the extra you pay for it being a Japanese performance car etc - i.e. the status, reputation, rareness etc you get when you buy it*
*i think
In what way though, surey it again comes down to personal opinion?
I know people who love them, but I can't bide the sight of them, I think they're horrible, boring run of the mill looking Jap cars.
I'm not a massive Renault fan or anything. I used to own and love Golf Gti's, but the 182 was...
Hmm, I'd need it delivering up north though, however I do know the girl who works on the service reception at Evans Halshaw in Gilesgate (near me - just hope she still works there) and she told me to ask her for stuff next time I needed anything....so I guess I'd be getting it for a similar price.
Bought mine just over two years ago (3 years 9 months) for £5900 on 27k, dont think I'd expect anymore than £4000ish now on 39k and it's been serviced more regularly than it needs to (including both belt kits), only problem is it's black and being a Renault and that colour it shows any little...
5-40 fully synthetic is what most use (though this depends what part of the world you're from. As for brand - many get the Silkolene/Fuchs Titan off Opie oils or the Motul, some the Elf stuff from Renault and some use any 5-40 fully synthetic (i.e. Halfords) and just change it more regularly.
Mine seemed to be doing that, I changed it and even though it looks fine when it's standing, I still seem to be hearing a small blow somewhere near the front.
I was panicking mine was something nasty too, had a poke about and knew it wasn't the heatsheild, didn't think it was a mount, but couldn't see anything else. Now I'm going back out there to try and tighten the thing up!
First - Asda car park around 1.40 pm a black 54 plate 182 with a cup spoiler looking a bit worse for wear. Looked to have a Cliosport.net tax disc holder in it, could be wrong though.
The next was about ten minutes later on the A181 Wingate area, heading to the A19 junction. Not sure whether...
Put some more gear oil in my 182 on friday and when I took the butterfly type plug out to put the gear oil in it looked to have a washer sticking to the gear box around the filler hole. By the time I got the gear oil ready to put in and a bit of hose to feed it in with, the washer looked to...
Coming from Sherburn and went past me as I was about to pull of the road coming from Sherburn Hospital.
Was then sat at the traffic lights turning right to go towards Tesco's, but I was about three cars back so didn't get a good look.
I was up that way last week and was on the look out for some, hoping to get spotted myself as I'm always up and down the country without being spotted and didn't see one either.
Saw a nice mk2 Golf like my old one in Penrith Town centre though.
I know it needed cleaning, sadly I didn't have a choice due to working commitments and time.
I'm just a bit pissed off tbh as I've had many other cars covered in the stuff and not had the same problems after less than 24 hours. Guess I'm getting a little bit dis-heartened with how easily my...
Since I got my BG 182 I've become more and more aware of how easily they scratch and the paint gets marked and as a result I've polished and cleaned it more than I have done with any other car in an attempt to deal with this.
This morning I got up to go to work and went out and I saw on the...
This is a pic from someone elses car, the gaitor with the black arrow towards it is what's split on mine. Can anyone tell me what it's called or the part number please.
Erm haven't got the link at the moment as I'm not on my PC, but I think it's a company (in Shropshire?) that makes them or designed them for Scorpion (something along those lines) and yes there were fitting them - there should be links to them in the Scorpion 192 group buy thread, which will be...
Fitment of mine was a pain - I had to 'adjust' the two (new) rear hangers to get it anywhere close to being central in the bumper, after originally having to 'adjust' the two old ones.
As for sticking out that much - I think mine sticks out just a fraction at the top and at the bottom about...
Yeah I'd sell mine on here. It may have had one or two problems (as any would), but because I've been on here and I'm paranoid about things I'm always keen to find out what they are and replace/fix asap and will have the reciepts to prove it. The reciepts I have and the posts on here will...
