BIG MONEY! A lot more than a BB turbo 16v.
Has any1 even heard of a VW VR6 turbo conversion cause that would be awesome! 2.8lt 6 cyclinder 20 valve turbo! WOW!
eh? ;)
Ok, first of all i need a reliable car which is why im not gettin a 5 Kenny, plus i cant think of a better car than a Clio 16v which i can afford to buy insure at the mo.
Second of all i aint loaded and dont know what im doin with my life yet (uni or not) so although the BB Turbo...
So if it pulls to the left on the motorway when u let go of the wheel it is only your tacking at fault?
Hav u had the problem resolved yet Rajk as mine has started to do it noticably now? Thanx.
Whats the difference like in the wet with coilovers? I pressume it has a greater tendency to slide?
To be honest the standard handling is very impressive IMO its just that the car looks a little dated with the 106 & VTS being a lot lower with low profile tyres as standard too.
K-Tec now supply 175lb springs which clean16v swears by and i know from seeing his car move that it still twitches over imperfections when set hard but give a softer ride for everyday driving.
Im hoping to get some as soon as i can save up with-out something needing to be repaired!:(
Only get to go out in my car on a Sunday usually. :(
Yeah, its every Sunday but i dont think it was that good this week as they hav blooked that car park where u used to get Scoobies, GTOs, RS Turbos racing plus that 300zx doing mint donuts. Plus there is usually a mint VTS turbo which drives...
Me agrees, blew away a lad with his gal in yesterday, he was driving a bottom of the range new dun up 106, i made an unbelivable gap after letting him pull ahead of the line :devilish: jus to impress his bird for less than 2 secs, he was really tryng the poor lad & by the time i was in 3rd and...
Why would the cable make a difference if it always works fine when first started and when taken easy?
So ill buy these box linkage bushes from Reno; get them fitted, then the gear selection should be easy even after a ragging?
The key to the problem is the fact that it is always fine when...
Can u explain the box linkage bushes mate? Fitting and reason for, etc. Thanx for the info.
Yeah ill get a new clutch anyway if i have to pay for the labour to check the thrust bearing aswell. The clutch has never slipped though!
Bloody hell mate, its took them this long to develope the 16v turbo conversion. The 16v 1 is the other side of 5 grand though, so its a lot of money on top of ur 172 even if they did do 1.
OK, I have a mates theory;
Could it be the clutch thrust bearing due to it only happening when ragging it and putting the clutch on and off a lot (say in traffic) plus it always selects gear after a stiff movement and crunches in reverse after a ragg or a long journey?
ANY THOUGHTS? THANX.
Ill have some phase 2 16v wheels for sale soon. 1s a bit tatty but are alright 2 ok tyres & 2 slicks, PM me if interested. IMO i dont like Willy wheels on a 16v because then ur a wannabe.
Yeah, i used the RAM air cleaner and oil treatment (very sticky stuff), and all seems well, car feels quicker than b4 it was cleaned definnetly. Thanx for the help, Mikey. ;)
Need to know this asap: (last post) THANX

I usually race at 12ish with no other cars on the road or very few, u know there is no undercover pigs then. Lights on roundabouts and onto bypasses are the best hunting grounds.
