I've replaced the rear brake lines on my 182, bled the system with an air pump bleeder. I let fluid through until I had no air bubbles appearing at the caliper bleed nipples and clean fluid coming through. Buttoned everything up and took it for a test drive. The pedal is dangerously soft...
I've an oil leak from the selector shaft seal on the gearbox of my 182. I believe the part number is 8201048885 which I've ordered. I just wondered if anyone's had to replace their's and could give me any hints/tips ? Hope it's not a box out job ?
Huge thanks in advance.
I've a 2003 E46 325i MSport as well, that's also listed as compliant too. It must be a parameter that's within Euro 4 that's enabling it to be compliant, possibly the NOX as that's one of the main things that will affect air quality... which is what this whole ULEZ thing is about, 'apparently' !
Somebody on another forum said this "They may have just not updated it. My Cerbera showed up as compliant for about a month, now it doesn’t". Like your 182, mine has been coming up as compliant since the beginning but I believe there was a change to Euro 4 for petrol cars made in September...
The ULEZ zone is being extended to the M25 orbital in August 2023 and is set to affect a huge number of motorists. I have a specific question about 182 compliance.
Driving in the ULEZ zone is chargeable for any petrol engined vehicle that's not Euro 4 or later. The 182 is Euro 3. However if...
I used to race karts and cars going back almost 40 years now... so have never compromised on tyres myself. Personal experience/recommendations are far more useful than magazine reviews - hence the reason I posted here. Really appreciate what you've said here.
Guys thanks so much for everything here, I really appreciate it.
I agree, road tyres are subjective alright. There's price, durability and adhesion to weigh up.
I've never used Avons on the road before... but I would be willing to give them a go.
I've a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3s fitted to my 182. They're great and I would like to replace them with either Pilot Sport 3 or 4 but can't seem to find availability anywhere. So my first question is, have they discontinued them in 205/45/16 form ? My second question is, what would you...
I'm in a similar situation to the above. Everything except for the plastic lenses is fine... but I guess they're a sealed unit ? Is it not possible to buy something like the link below and take the xenon bulbs etc... from my existing unit and swap over ? I know the balasts etc... are located...
It was the injectors. I replaced all 4 with brand new and never had a problem again. BTW the injectors looked absolutely fine, sounded fine [click test] and hadn't thrown any ECU errors. As I couldn't diagnose which of the four had failed [without burning up more O2 sensors], I replaced all...
I have Torque Pro and it's excellent for what it does... however it only reads ECU data. I've four cars in total - my 182, an E46, a Golf V TSi and a Ford Focus Mk2. I would be really interested in getting another app that could read more than just ECU data - i.e. body, brakes...
Thank you so much for this guys, really appreciate this.
I'm going to measure up the distance between the strut bolts today to confirm whether I do actually have Cup suspension or not. I believe it's 60mm for a Cup strut, does anyone know what it is it for a standard one ?
@NBG182 Yes I...
I've a 2005 182 with [supposedly] the cup pack, but I've not measured up yet. I was considering fitting lowering springs as I've never liked the ride height of the Clio. I've a few questions :
o Is there a difference between stock non cup-pack and cup-pack springs ?
o Are coilovers worth...
I've a really silly question that hopefully somebody may be able to help with.
I took the engine out of the car around a year ago to do the belts, clutch and a whole heap of other things. I had the front off the car, including the bumper. It's taken me this long to realize my front fog...
Great vid ! Hopefully with my written procedure and your vid... anyone who encounters this problem in future will have some good stuff to get started with :)
This is purely for my own interest rather than solving a problem I have.
Like a lot of us on here my Clio 182 is old and has relatively limited recording facilities on its ECU... compared to a modern vehicle. Having watched a crash repair of 70 reg Range Rover on youTube [where all the air...
OK... just thought I'd follow up on where I got to with this in case anyone runs into similar trouble in the future.
This is happens when you've poor connectivity to, or in, the rear light clusters. It's a very common problem on Clio 2s. Remember that buying a replacement s/h light cluster...
I just weighed my own, broken, 2 tonne jack now... it's only 15Kg... 35Kg-40Kg is some weight to be hokin about in/out of the house alright. Think I need one of those aluminium NASCAR jacks :)
Which 3 tonne one did you get ? I've got my eye on this two tonne one. I also have an E46 that is very low [my current jack won't get under it] so that would hopefully solve that problem too. There's a 3 tonne cheaper though.
