The first plasma I had (way back when plasma's just started being released to the public) it would suffer horribly from screen retention, even after 20 minutes.
My Panny is awesome TBH never had screen retention or even ghosting after playing PS3 with static logos/health bars etc... even after...
Got an email from Sony about their new Vidzone service coming soon.
Sounds good and it something I think I would actually use, as with anything though it will only be good if they update the content and have lots of it. Seems to be free (for the moment) and you can set up unlimited playlists...
Some of their older stuff was a bit naff.. stuff from the last couple years to date is really well built and very reliable.
I should know I spend a fair bit of cash with them !
I wouldn't stick with the default install TBH, its crap.
Really ? I did it with an eee pc and it was a case of inserting a usb stick with a ubuntu installer on it. Job done !
No you may not.
Besides it does provide redundancy and that is about as far as you need to go for home users. Offsite backups are a bit overkill unless you data is THAT important.
^ Yep, its not very clear what you're having trouble with.
I used to program asp a long time ago, moved to PHP as it was much better.. totally forgotten how to code in asp now but no loss really.
The problem isn't buying massive drives, its having a good backup plan !!
At the very least, buy two and set up a raid 1 mirror, or 3 and setup raid 5, or 4 and RAID10/6 etc. It's unfortunate that you got one of those dodgy seagates though. I just got 3 1TB WD Caviar Black.. quite nice acutally.
Sounds like you will need to set the guy straight..
You haven't done it before and bluffing your way through isn't going to work. Security is paramount if your creating an e-commerce site !!
You need to start learning server-side code, as well as web coding techniques etc. It's not...
Vista by any chance ?
Had a few reports of this happening with some of the people in my work, random disconnections etc. but I don't support Vista (mainly cause its s**t but thats a different topic) so I never found out what was causing it.
Personally,
If you want massive speed but don't download a lot then VM, if you want consistent (but slower) speed then go BT.
BT are pushing out their new network so I would expect to see improvements in their speed offerings shortly. Unfortunatly their downfall is still the 'distance from...
Normally I would be all for helping your and giving you advice, but from your posts.. personally, I think you should take it to someone who knows what they're doing. It will probably save you time and money.
Glad to hear things are going well, im actually really impressed with 9.04. Everything I install it on it 'Just Works'
Boots quicker and is just so much more responsive.
Great News !
I didn't think it would be your drivers seeing as you were picking up other networks. I too have noticed that networks that don't even show up in windows show up on my linux laptop, weird !
