I think pretty much as long as it's legal size/spacing/font and clearly readable you can have it anywhere on the bumper. In the windscreen etc is a bit of a grey area, will all depend on what the coppers are like where you live.
Same happens with every hot hatch, they get cheap, chavs buy them/ruin them/crash them, they then get bored and move onto something else. Then all the ones that were left mint become rare and sought after.
Your insurance will be void if they see that as said, we have a Polo in at work that the insurance have refused to pay out on because it has Golf alloy wheels on it. Yes, they really are that picky.
You can get it off ebay or in some small motor factors etc, just need to look for it, it's certainly not as rough as wet sanding. Try to get the liquid compound not the paste compound as it's not as abrasive, then just go over it with something finer like SRP etc to bring back the shine a bit more.
Farecla G3. It's what I use to remove scratches (I work in a bodyshop), it's pretty abrasive but won't just simply burn all the lacquer off your paint by hand like T-Cut will. Just don't use it with a machine if you're a novice.
LOL!
I know what you're on about Hazza, have to park near trees at my house, annoying having the car spotlessly clean come back out in the morning and it's covered in sticky crap.
Have a look at the guide for polishing the inlet plenums that'll give you and indication on what you need to do.
Best tip is start with a fine grit, say 800 grit used wet, if that doesn't take them out go a bit harsher. Saves going at it with something coarse as hell and getting scratches in it...
Sand it back to bare metal, work down through the grades getting finer and finer then polish it up. Will take a LONG time doing it by hand though. A lot of that looks like corrosion to me which will be a reet pain the arse.
Don't bother going for a Renault one, the majority of stainless systems are cheaper and won't fall off as quickly.
The Yozzasport stealth system is designed as a direct replacement in terms of fitment and noise levels but won't fall off like the standard system. According to their website at least.
