Its alright saying the most powerful 172 / 182 makes X amount of BHP, but that only tells you the peak gains. Having 200 + dosent necessarily mean you have a quick car. Could be all top end and nothing low down
Avoid the Magnex. Dosent fit very well, poor design back boxes and weighs a tonne!
I switched from a Magnex to Ktec and it was ten times better. Performance felt a lot better too. Pipe design is a lot flatter
Far better stuff on the market now than a Magnex

Many people dont have such knowledge of computers to protect themselfs, what to do, look for etc etc so this is where AV comes in handy if...
I dont think those figures you were quoting were right. Figures are all different depending on where you look.

If you think the 172 heaters are quick their nothing compared to a 22 year old Ford Escort's.
If there was such thing as a heater drag race the Escort would be over the finish line before you'd even start the engine of a Clio, honestly !! Their amazing lol

Bushes, Wheels, Tyres, Springs, Dampers can fail on any car. Thats just general wear and tare.
TB problems are pretty common but arnt a regular problem. Pretensioners, strange one and never heard of folk...
Standrad 172 / 182's seem to average 15 seconds. You'll get some freaks hit mid 14's and some mid 15'ers.
Best iv done up to date was a 14.4 @ 99 iirc but never ran it after the 2nd mapping sesh, change of wheels and heavy ice in the bin which im confident would have hit a low 14, mods...
Im running 428's after coming from Piper's and imo their a disappointment although different sort of cam profile.
Also the type of managment depends on the cams your running. You dont need to run standalone on all cam only applications.
You can get the stock ecu mapped or the RS Tuner...
