Decat and strip it.
Inlets are good but to get the best from them they'd need mapping which takes it well over £150.
RS tuner, not sure what gains to be tweeked with no other mods and compared to a proper ecu mapping sesh from a tuner.
Any details on the Fabia? What wheels, colour etc??
Not a chance in feck can a stock one run anywhere in the 13's. Best my mate could get in his was low 16's
Did the Fabia run on its own? maybe there was a error with the timing gear..?
Was it a good turn out? Heard about it but had a...
Get a few quotes from Renault dealers. Prices seem to be picked out of a hat so shop about.
Try and avoid back street garages. Very few folk seem to be able to time these up right through what ever reason.
Yeah but, theyve modded a 1.2 to nearly the level of a car they could have bought for the same price as trade in + conversion costs and lost time and effort to boot. Its just completly pointless other than a personal goal thing.
Its a good price regardless but as already mentioned, these are just the general aftermarket OZ F1 rim.
Whats the story behind the Renault 16'' F1's ?? Were they on the accessory list? bolted to a certain model? Only available on the continent? etc
Your not wrong there franx.
Had more than a few ''oh s**t wheres half the oil gone'' moments after viewing the oil gauge on start up. Its ok once the cars up and running, been using it for a few years now but yeah, thinking of changing to a 5W40 grade.
Daft question but what causes them to squeal? Is it pad to disk contact due to the compoud of the pads?
Reason i ask is French car mag fitted CL's to their ph1 and fitted some self-adhesive rubber at the back of the pad to cut down on the squealing :S
When the car was stock it wouldnt go above 130! Now it pulls all the way up to 120 (speedo figure) in 4th, and still not hitting the limiter, like its in 3rd! - Once into 5th though the pull tails off dramatically.
Cavy V6 for top end runs. Legs on that was something else lol
Could have sworn it was the other way around going by the interest this topic seems to have shown from you haha ;)
Admit it, your just trying to pressure him into selling the car so you can get a cheap deal on the 'better' ph1 ;):rasp:
You still got had!! I paid 15p for the number plate bulb a couple of months back from a motorfactors (TMS) - Have you got long blonde hair and walk about in a tiny skirt by any chance or have ''con me'' tattoo'd on your forehead ? ;) (jk)
I took my instrument panel to bits and put a bit of insulating tape behind the the tubing where the light reflects up through. Best way by a far imo although the most work.
Knocking the light off only worked for a few weeks with mine and the bolt thing is a big no no. You need the bottom...
Since when did anyone wet themselfs over a ph2 172?? There regarded as the lemon of the Sporting Clios :rasp:
I'd keep the ph1 or move onto a 172 Cup or 182 Trophy.
Chances are that 48 quid was going to go straight into their back pockets
If the car fails on say a bulb, all they have to do is check the bulb now works and pass it NOT do a whole new MOT test from scratch surely ?? :S
What is the official law on a retest regards to charges? or isnt...
Makes no difference going from my experience.
I had one of these at the wheels figures on my local RR'd pumping out 167@ wheels, roughly 195 / 200bhp
Took it down to regarded as one of the more accurate rollers in the country, RS Tuning and prior to stage 2 mapping it made only 181@ Fly...
Surely a mix up? 147lb/ft ?
Cars running full TB's get about 170 - 180 lb/ft to compare.
If it is right it should be at the top of the list not near the bottom
