Go to Autotrader, hunt down the correct car and note the reg number down. This is what i do when needing parts i dont have codes for from other vehicles ;)
Is this thread not more of a wheel bolt issue rather than a spacer thing? :S
Can see how the wheel in effect was balancing on the wheel bolts but if the bolts hadnt come loose and were long enough then the wheel wouldnt have come off in the first place? :S
Appologys if im reading it wrong :o
Hubcentric spaces start from over 5mm. - 5mm or under are non hubcentric. (not thick enough to need to be hubcentric)
IMO best offset for a Clio is Cup offsets of et38.
Not sure about the other Clio's but on a ph1 172 running stock rims, (et43) 5mm spacer is perfect and brings it up to Cup...
Good point.
Still it would have to be a fairly freaky set of circumstances to cause such a event. I mean, you'd have to be dropping oil directly onto the wrap, quite a bit of oil too of which you'd hopefully spot it prior and oil alone isnt highly flamable added to the wrap not being a flamable...
Most important thing to check is that their round. The finish side of things isnt too important, easy fix. They bend very easily
Brand new their £140 EACH from Renault, 170 ish including vat.
Second hand if their 100% straight, 200 ish id guess.
Someone else posted about the fire threat before.
How can they sell it if theres a risk of a fire? Also isnt the idea of it to be heat resistant ?? ie non flamable :S
Its the same kind of stuff they use in heat blankets plus various places advertise it wrapped round exhaust components so not...
Its not just about the performance. The other advantage of the 182 mani is the ease at messing with the cat. Turns a 2 man job of the 172 version into a 1 man job with a 182.
If you can do it cheap its worth it imo and especially if your running in conjunction with other breathing mods.
Errmm no question, he said his mate had to change his shocks hence the reply back in relation to shocks.... Do you often butt in on posts which have nothing to do with you ? ;)
They used to do them in 16'' form years back but are only available in 15's now.
Loads of places do them. I bought mine from Wheelbase in Oldham few years back.
BEWARE though. Although they look nice if your a ''light weight'' freak avoid. They weigh a tonne !!
On the plus side nigh on...
Yeah but you cant lower a car and expect it to give a smooth ride. Thats like fitting a monster engine with 1000 bhp but expecting 40 to the gallon lol - theres always a trade off.
And of course he had to change his shocks. Thats no suprise, lowering springs especially as low as 40 will put...
Come on people know your facts first. Theres a reason why they both give a different ride.
Apex are linear
Eibach are Proggressively wound

4.5k being a lot but making a difference where as £40 doing completely nothing so better off sticking the cash down the drain going by your own admissions,.. ;)
Stock air box is crap. Had stock, Viper and now a Maxogen so have the experience and the RR results to prove ;)
Where folk fall...
I dont know much about turbo's so just a random logical guess lol but is 7psi for both but different bhp results between the 2 not more to do with the internal goings on of the engine ie, the compression?
Turbo's benafit from lower compession where as SC dosent necceseraly need it to...
Sure i paid something like 14 quid per handle from Renault but that was 2004 lol
A bodyshop refused to spray the ph1 handles saying they would chip in time so ended up buying new ph2's.
Far easier in the long run anyway looking back plus the finish will be a lot better than sparying and...
Pulls harder top end of the rev range i felt.
They reckon you loose lower end torque with the 182 one but not sure tbh.
Depends what mods youve got etc
No you dont. It wont fit. its too big although someone i belive has hacked it down but theres better easier options.
Well worth doing if you have headwork imo and especially at that price.
Only difference is the ph1 has slightly larger exhaust ports and the ph2 has larger inlet ports than the ph1
Zero difference to performance with either head and dosent effect the 182 mani in anyway.
You'll get a 50 50 split with this question matey.
Im more than happy with mine. Works well with the other mods and is car easier with exhaust maintanance.
If you can get the whole thing done cheap then go for it. Anything more than 350 all in and id leave it as theres more cost effective mods
