Isn't extending the warrenty on an M3 ment to be silly money? Something to do with the engine being stretched to it's limit? I'd have the M3 every time at for that money or maybe a Skyline.

The weigh pads we use at work are accurate to the nearest 10kg. Last time I weighed mine (and it's standard) it came up as 1090kg, but I'm not sure on the fuel in there. I filled it to the brim this morning, so I'll stick it on again now and see what it comes in at.

I manage a delivery fleet for a council. If I were you, I'd be claiming! If they work in a similar way to us, I imagine that they'll ask for a letter of claim (stating what happened, when, and any other details you can provide) and an estimate for the repairs to your vehicle. A lot of councils...

Side strip removal, rear wiper motor and blade, replace number plates with vinyl, cutting down every bolt the the minimum, smaller battery, cutting holes in the shell where you think you'll get away with it, lighter wing mirrors... Depends how ugly you want your car and how much effort is...
