Guessing the wheels and seats will have set you back about a £1000?
So if you think about it, 1k for a guess of 6 - 7 bhp equivalent isnt cheap compared to trying to add more horses
Not knocking weight saving, lots of other advantages too like handling etc and defo the way to go
Are those bhp and torque results based on the charger and map all done on a stock base engine ?
Basically a clear 100+ bhp gain to be had out the box from results so far or is this in conjunction with other mods too?
One seller is just pi55ing me about, 5 emails sent and one reply with a unlinked invoice (iv had things from him in the past and he's been spot on)
Another one said tonight that they cant change anything :S
Been on the bay for 3 years or so and bought about 150 odd things and this is the...
Not sure if this is in the right section but here goes.
Has ebay changed it so you cant edit your final payment prior to confirming payment on paypal?
Iv won various items from sellers over the last week and i cant edit the postage or payment amounts.
For example if i win say 5 items...
On the same subject, this looked a pretty good buy for someone

Keep the F1's. Apart from the other points raised on the advantages of their useability, their a motorsport branded wheel
182 rims are just random Renault alloys
Agree with Russ.
Done 110k now on modded n/a engine, 1st owner from new and never had a problem, dosent crunch or owt.
I do quarter miles too but not track days. All depends how you use it imo although can appreciate high levels of torque could cause probs for it
So will there be any...
Yeah use the standard clutch
Yes i read this too about the Cup box being the same as a ph1 172. Think it was Fred that posted that info up
Think there's a lad breaking a ph1 172 in the for sale so might be worth a look regarding the box
**edited beat me too it lol
The bolt that goes to the side of the engine on the inlet?, the one above the pulleys?
Just a random guess because the plenum (sp) uses 10mm bolts, about a inch long, front inlet bolts are what? 13mm abouts stumpy headed things, 4 TB ones use torx so its not that and that being 2.5'' is a...
Keep us posted Ben. Very interesting stuff this
Just a shame now that the big power conversions for the F4r are starting to overtake the ability of the box
Read snipits about a 270 odd bhp turbo'd F4R lump in a R5 GT Turbo and their using the R5 turbo box (probably down to clearence...
Sounds like your sucking in air and its in connection with this bolt you have
Try find out where it goes first before messing with maps and changing things over.
Is it long and thin roughly 4'' bolt and has a threaded end? Sounds like a Fuel rail protector bolt.
Ktec is a lot quieter than a Magnex. Felt better in terms of acceleration too
Another handy thing is, its the only one out the bunch i belive with a front adjustable telescopic pipe so its a straight fit with a 182 manifold upgrade / future upgrade.
Ah right so its the type of catch thats the problem. I always thought it was simply neglect that caused it aka lack of oiling.
I'd like to check if mine is the dodgy one. What part number / type is the one ??
Agree
Says on the filler the recommended ron on the 172's. Aside from the practical part of folks experiences, doubt Renault would put that info in for a laugh
Ask your local tyre bit if you can borrow the ramp for 10. Would be half the battle
Was amazed when mine let me use theres on a busy afternoon for free !! Health and safety, ppppffffftttttt
Im not suprised youve lost performance matey.
My dad had a ATS job fitted few years back to his run about and it totally killed the performance of the car.
Yeah if your wanting to keep the standard noise levels stock will probably be best although the Yozza road one might be worth a look as...
TBH i reckon even if the 205 had the full interior, with a 306 Gti6 conversion it would still pull the 172 to bits!
What bucket seats are you using guys?
