Sanding wheel on a drill to remove the rough stuff and dremel kit to remove the hard to get into bits
After that its just a case of rubbing it down and using finer grades of paper as you go along and polishing to get the effect
Anyone can go out and buy a ''quicker car'', thats boring. Making a car go quicker is the element of suprise.
Yes its expensive to mod but then its not going to be free
Yes
You could cut down the inlet pipe (pipe that the IK is fastened to) back.
Not sure if it can be done if your pipe is standard however but you could get a Hill Power silicone inlet elbow and cut it down a bit which will solve the problem of space.
PMSL @ ankle in cast nearly stalling it lol
No wonder she won. You had mates in the car and ice. You'd be talking a extra 200kg's there maybe more..
Get rid of that lot and it would have been a totally different story.
If you want more power next step is Cams
Upwards of that and your...
When Renault was in the quest for extracting more BHP to create the 182, if the ph1 box design was so good, why did they not retain it??
Putting a ITG filter in a ph1 / V6 airbox might be better than the stock paper item but its no Maxogen in behaviour just because it looks like one.
I dont think you can go wrong with a set of Eibach springs and Koni shocks if you want to uprate for road use.
If you want it a bit lower and slightly harder , Apex springs and the Koni's.
Coilovers good for track use but overkill for just road use
Thats strange, last time i looked they also did a cheaper no carbon version in fibre glass too so your first theory falls flat on its ar5e
As for ''does the same'', does it really??
I can recommend getting the injectors cleaned. Made a big improvment on mine for engine smoothness cold and warm not to mention the crazy high mpg and all for 30 notes from a motorfactors
My mate had a DC2 and when mine was running a dodgy SMT6 at the time with bhp at 180ish there wasnt a thing in it. Dead level all the way.
Standard Clio vs the DC2, DC2 has the edge but not by much.
Think the best my mate could get on the quarter was 14.9, stock Clio's run just over 15's
Its just the exhaust silencer stuff that cracks and pops i belive. Even with out a cat it still does it.
You can lift the revs / idle position on a ph1 by turning the gromit on the TB
I always thought that this was the 2nd most expensive job on a Clio the clutch / box area? :S
Clutch price £150 on its own, grand total inc fitting 4 - 600 quid ball park figure :S ??
Mines a Y reg aswell.
Its 100% not a acoustic valve. Ph1's never had acoustic valves fitted and the other end of the pipe should be on the end of the fuel rail if i remember rightly.
Pretty sure its just a breather hence its little importance when they decided to leave it off the later...
He's worded this topic and his posts like he owns the car but clearly dosent?
Now either this is a bit sick or its just a mistake / joke the way he's portrayed it
Other end connects to the injector rail right??
Mines a late spec ph1 and for some reason never had one on either :S
Thought this was just a fuel breather pipe or is that what a accustic valve actually is ?? :S :o
Just stick some black tape over the tubing where the LED lights up through to the control panel.
Its a 100% fix, cant be seen and can be removed at anytime.
Only down side is you have to take the dash top off to fit it.
Any other way, ie replacing bolts in this hole and that, removing...
Nah the magnesiums are a bad idea unless your racing it. They start going brittle and become useless apparently. I dont think their as light as Superleggera's for example even in Mag form
Hang on a minute, are we not missing something here???
What makes this rolling road and result 100% accurate yet when other folk post up results it gets scorned at due to the alleged accuracy of rolling roads?? :S :S
Selective reading ??
Looks like a lot of rubbish to me as the standard throttle body straight off the car has exactly the same spec as what that ebay seller has listed bar the polishing
