I called today but Mark wasn't in, said I would call back later but I got a good essay mark back so went for a drink and forgot lol. Will do it tomorrow...must try harder!
Yeah, if in doubt give it the old visual inspection mate, shouldn't think a drop off water will matter, just don't do it when its raining or something I guess mate!
I only use the grade 3 with IP, 2 with FFs and 1 with SRP or similar. Apply sealants and waxes by hand. Used the buffer cloth for removing products but find its still easier by hand.
Ah fair play...I thought you meant "went through" as in they were ruined!
I have 6 x 6" pads (2 of each grade) and 3 x 4" pads. I use the 6" ones mainly but they seem to last forever.
Ali, the CG MF wash is actually really good for cleaning and also softening cloths too. I have washed cloths with it that look and felt terrible, but it really does bring them back. Although yes some cloths are clean, but they don't look it.
Nothing beats a fresh one though...;)
For each car?!?
I still have my original pads which I got when I bought the PC, I just clean them well after use without fail...they are still virtually as new!
^ Yep, either in the machine or my preference is by hand in a bowl of hot water, some CG microfibre cleaner and a little bit of normal clothes washing powder...keep stirring/ replacing hot water as necessary and will come up like new - except on my white Sonus cloths which look like I have wiped...
Depends what you are after, but most people use products from a variety of companies as there are so many types of products available, no one company absolutely dominates, although if you went into Halfords you might think Turtle Wax, Autoglym and Meguiars are the only makes available. For off...
Cool. I thought they would just have the connector, but I am guessing that Autobrite make their equivalent version of the Karcher foam lance to fit the Halfords PWs as well as other makes, right?
Any ideas how much they are? I am a bit confused - the Karcher foam lance is £15 on Halfords and...
Yeh maybe, going to give the Autobrite guy a call tomorrow.
2thumbs - sorry, I didn't really know what you were talking about in your original post, makes a lot more sense now, thanks.
MrBilly, seen your method and looks a great option, but I don't have the space at my parents for a fermenting bin, and my dad wouldn't want it on the driveway for sure.
Did you not see those pictures Mat7 posted though using the foam lance, that looked pretty impressive to me!
Mat, cheers for advice, I will go have a look.
Riz, I forgot you suggested that. I emailed someone...think maybe Tim @ CYC, but he didn't know. I will have a look on the net, they UK based Autobrite then, never really heard of them before?
This one Mat:

Riz, I am very tempted...just the Karcher will cost over £50...
Ok, decision time here please people. Do I:
Get the Halfords pressure washer, and make do with the Super Spray attachment I already have (which does the job in terms of getting the worst much of and breaking down traffic film)
Get the Halords pressure washer and upgrade to a Gilmour (am I...
Just spoke to them, its a different connection...so thats a no then :(
Recommendations - fork out almost twice as much for the Karcher or put up with the Super Spray? TBH my car never really gets that dirty, its more for customer cars, and to have a little fun with.
What mixture did you use...
^ That looks SO satisfying lol. Mat, I think you have won the biggest "spunking foam over a car award 2007" - congratulations! ;)
Do you know if either the Karcher attachment or the Gilmour will attach to the Halfords own brand pressure washers, as I am getting one for Christmas and want to be...
The Razr2 looks cool, but only has a 2.0 mp camera, which my past two phones have had. At the same time though, I have a decent camera and an iPod.
I would rather have a slimline phone with a decent interface and pay less for my phone bill each month rather than getting carried away with a...
Its good for glass, some plastics and wheels too. Mine is about a year and a half old, use it loads and still got about a third of a tin left. Bargain!
Almost worth me getting the kit, for everything else I get for the extra £10...tempting!
Worth a squirt. Where the damage was on my car was highly visible, and black shows up more defects than blue. Just take your time with the wet/dry paper, even though it feels like it isn't abrasive it is!
Also, before I used the paper (Which was well lubed due to soaking overnight) I sprayed...
I did a repair on my car Ali on a very conspicuos area (just on the A-pillar) and 95% invisible - only I know its there!
The damage, which looked like a key or something, although not sure how it could be done by accident there, had gone back to the paint. First of all I polished around the...
Yeah, a transformer isn't THAT much of an issue TBH, although I guess it would be better without one.
If you are going to lose money on it I wouldn't bother.
