^ Yeah that is a good suggestion Rich, but as the only review of the Blue Velvet I have read wasn't amazing (yours ) I was hoping the new premium would be better, especially with the extra caranuba it should be presumably slightly easier to apply.
Megs 16 is on my shopping list already...
I read through it all, no mention of being able to buy it separately as far as I can tell? If I could order the hard wax by itself then I would get it, but for soft waxes the Onyx is incredible and its a virtually new pot.
With any luck they will offer it later, seems insane not to. And like...
I was just looking at the thread on DW, and was a little confused, as the new waxes seem to be sold together for a combined RRP of around £80. Surely you should just be able to order them separately at half the cost?!

WD40 works really well actually, and leaves probably the best water repellency out of any of the products I have used, water will bead on plastic like it does on metal. However, the finish isn't that durable so I would top it up with something like AG's plastic dressing.
The QD just helps add a bit of lubrication and makes sure there are no water marks left at all - its especially helpfull on darker cars and in the summer when water evaporates and can leave water marks.
I have the top one and its fantastic - like a giant deep-pile mf towel. You can fold it into quarter and just dab on the roof and bonnet to soak up rather than wipe over the surface. It holds so much water its ridiculous. If you use a little QD and go over again to finish up it looks perfect if...
I like the current range of Sony phones, got one at the moment and will probably get another depending on what is avaiable come upgrade in April.
However the Viewty looks pretty cool, the N82 is ok but I don't really play games on my phone.
Lets be honest though, there are a LOT of sexy...
^ Ha ... I make it sound worse than it is, they are pretty tidy really, just not 100% ATM and if I took my wheels off in Leeds to clean them then they would be gone before you could turn on the hose...they are well sealed though so should come up pretty easy when I get home.
Cleaning inside of rims and arches well is one area I must admit to being lazy on, solely because you can't really see them and they get dirty straight away.
For arches I normally spray on and wipe down with a sponge, but sure I miss loads. Will do it over Christmas properly. I promise...
My Mum's Golf has this too - must be a German thing. TBH on my mums I just spray it off and leave it at that, as like you say gets filthy as soon as you drive anywhere - and my mum couldn't care less, she is happy if I just shampoo the car once every now and then for her. Plus my sisters started...
Ha my car is only getting washed once a month at the moment...not like the good old days. ;) TBH though it saves me a LOT of time and when I have cleaned it makes more of a difference. Also gotten over my having to apply more sealant/ wax every time too - although no doubt I will start again...
Do you take the wheels off each clean Ali?! I haven't done that...for like a year! :dapprove: TBH they get so dirty its not really worth it for me doing it every time - or year for that matter lol. Will do it over the winter though before it gets too baked on to remove.
Agreed, a sample set is tempting me, as I don't seem to ever actually ever finish any products! Could we specify, for example, 2 sample pots of a specific wax, or is the set predetermined Mat?
Rich - as a designer I am pleased you agree! The packaging is an extension of a product and can affect...
^ pleased its not just me then!
Be honest though Rich, would you feel embarassed asking a customer if they want some Rainforest Rub?!? Or opening up a tab and them asking how some playdoh is going to help things...
In the words of DW, "Image is everything" and not sure I like the DJ identity...
Well, as someone who studies marketing, I hate it I have to say. It is intriguing I guess, and different, which has been good to create exposure, and use of colours certainly helps it to stand out, but it just seems a bit juvenile to me?
At the end of the day though, it is a car wax and the...
Well for £70 I would hope they are premium! But are they just improvements over the current ones or not? It seems like they are bringing out a new product every time they think of one...
The packaging is a big let down IMO, for a premium product just looks a bit naf I think, and names are embarassing to say.
What sounds cooler, Swisswax Onyx or Dodo Juide Banana Armour/ Rainforest Rub/ Blue Velvet etc...their marketing man needs to have a word with himself!
And Mat, when you...
I need a new one actually, as my so called "Enduro" brush broke. Word of advice, don't buy one, they are terribly made - think I only used mine a handfull of times before the joint part snapped off.
I want a brush for doing the backs of wheels, whats the one in the photo - looks quite well put...
Quite often these place just data capture you and if you ask where your item is they say they only had limited stock.
We shall see if it arrives...I applied for some free mens toileteries a while back that never came though - they cost a bloody fortune, too. £5 just for some soap...I mean...
Is this possible, and if so are there any pics available?
I find the large steering wheel the only real let down on the 172 and think the new ones are a lot better built and shape.
Cheers either way!
Sounds good, except I think they are in trouble with so many products confusing customers and encouraging them to go back to tried and tested products rather than having to read the Dodo weekly newsletter to keep up with all the latest waxest.
They should be good though. Mat, when you say...
I've got a Garmin, can't really see much difference between these and their rivals TomTom, except the default voice is marginally less annoying on the Garmin to my ears!
All the new ones with widescreen and Bluetooth are where its at, sadly mine has neither though :( Maybe time to "give a...
£300...a certain other wax costs over £7000!!! But you do get free refills for life though - a sensible purchase if you ask me ;)
If you are new to looking after the condition of your car then I would concentrate on polishing before waxing - thats where you will get the best improvements. If...
If you are planning on waxing then you will need to polish the paint before hand - by hand SRP is good or similar. Absolutely no point spending money and applying untill you have.
For £35 then you can get Chemical Guys 50/50 which is a great all rounder and SRP.
