What do you mean the metal part of the chassis ?? Do you mean the cage the head unit sits in ??

Well at the mow its linked to the ignition but im not losing any settings when the ingnition is turned off

To cut a long story short a ice company told me i should power the head unit from the battery not the ignition cos i wont get full power to the head unit if i run it direct off the ignition !! Now everyone else iv spoken too, 2 of which are in the electrical / motor trade have never heard...

The engines both come with 2 month warrantys for any damage internal or external but i think your right ill go for the 15k 172 one. Cheers guys

The Cup engine was damaged on impact though. theres just about a inch size hole in the sump where it must have hit a rock. I got the chrome door handles off it for a tenner so im gonna stick them on my mk1 when i get time :cool:

Me got that Alpine head unit yesterday the 9812 one :D Was told that someone it might even be Alpine are bringing out a cable thing which will make the steering wheel control buttons and the old top display thing work with the head unit !! Nah, auto changer wont work with it BTW my mate...

I took the spare wheel out of my mk1 172 a while back and due to putting in heavy shopping its collapsed !!! now the Cup hasnt got a spare wheel in either so is the boot floor carpet stronger than the ones in the standard 172s does anybody know ??? Cheers

The last bug-eyed 172s where in the iceberg silver colour. The earlier ones came in, i think it was called, platinum silver which is more of a lighter shade of silver

Theres a Megane 225 turbo for sale in the orange colour for around 16k with 5k miles on the clock. I own a mint mk 172 which has clocked up 40k miles and am just wondering whether it would be a good decision to change or just run mine to the ground. I love my Clio to bits but soon I can see...
