Slight thread hijack...
Ive got a set of turinis that i need to refurb.
What colour would be the most "resell able"
Black
Trophy gunmetal
Cup silver
Guessing loud colours such as
Dynoglow orange
Kawk green
Would make them less desirable?
Yup i know what you mean fella! I just brought a non running 172 in the process of having a 182 lump fitted as the old engine was knackered. After many hours i think it was in the process of having the engine removed as after spending many hours trying to get it to start the "replacement" engine...
Could still be a 182 engine.... 172 & 182 exhaust manifolds are interchangeable. Wont have 182 power though... Its not just the exhaust that makes the extra power
Dont know, presume it came from a FF as thats what i asked for when searching. My car is an 03 plate and has traction control. then again it also has a speed sensor that apparently it shouldn't have! Damn frogs!
Ive done away with my aircon. Just wondering if i can remove the climate control panel and swap to a manual version out a cup or other ph2
Would i have to fit a manual heater box?
Ok yes diag does show a speed reading when cranking
Anyway... Decided to do a comp test Not good!
90-60-60-90 grrr
So ive physically checked no1 at tdc... Cranklocking pin gone in properly this time!
Went to put cam tool in and got this...
Slipped or badly set timing yes?
So the question...
Managed to borrow an autel diagnostic and had a quick look tonight. Got a couple of codes stored
Would either of those stop it starting?
Air inlet valve... I believe thats the acoustic valve? Well its plugged in so is it knackered or have i a wiring fault
Next... Can anyone spot owt that...
Been back on it today
New battery - no change
New plugs - no change
New coilpack - no change
New crank sensor - no change
Different uch/ecu - no change
Checked earths
Had fuel rail out while cranking , injecting ok
Checked cam timing
Read that a coolant sensor can stop it starting.... Why...
Right...
Just plugged in a spare throttle body. When pressing pedal with key on body doesn't move until probably 3/4 down then it snaps open. Is this normal? Goes against logic as there doesnt seam to be any throttle control
