Sorry, I know this is a fairly common style post but could do with some help/advice if possible.
My wife and I want to move to a bigger place and I want to get rid of my 19 16v for something a bit newer.
I have a budget of £5K (no more) and want something a bit bigger than our other car (a...
There was a car coming the other way actually. I didnt think that could have an effect so didnt mention it. (We were the only 2 cars on the road)
Alloys are standard but speedo needle is a bit wobbly to say the least so thats why I always go slow to be safe.
Thanks for the advice, feeling...
Coming back from town last night with my wife down the usual road to our house.
Its a 30 limit and I know where the camera is so I always drop below 30 to be safe.
Cant have been doing more than 25 but I got flashed (twice).
It was right at the last of the white lines on the road and I was...
I actually dont think that looks too bad.
Not keen on the spoiler or lights, but the rest is fairly subtle.
Wheels suit as well.
LOL @ number plate though
Theres a full colour guide on this site.
Just need to cough up £5 and join first.
Well worth the money mate :) Ive stayed a member and I dont even own a clio anymore
Not sure what the interior of a cup is like, but I fitted one to my 19 16v in the cigarette lighter socket.
It sits under a little flap and looks v. good if I do say so myself.
(Also it can be on show or hidden depending on what you want)
My girlfriend bought one a couple of months ago and I have to say I am fairly impressed. Well equipped and quite nippy for a 1.2
Needless to say she drives it a bit soft so I have been showing her how to drive it properly. Thing is I have managed to break the auto lights and the auto wipers...
Kind of on topic.
Do people think that with the 182 now out, that it is still a wise idea to buy a newcup? The dealer by me was doing a handfull at 10,995 (as mentioned above)
Will there still be full warantee etc?
Agreed. I would deffo have the diesel.
But then the vast majority of my time is spend in town/traffic and you just dont get to use the full potential of a high-revving petrol engine.
Maybe thats why Renault offer the cup pack as a £200 upgrade rather than std equipment.
Nobody in their right mind would buy that car without the upgrade, so its a pretty effective way of preventing people from importing.
Yes there is a regulator on the 5 which you will need, but i am not sure if that will be sufficient to reduce the pressure from the clio pump.
Not sure what psi each runs, but yes it would be better to use 5 pump too.

It makes much more sense to buy a complete 5, so you have everything there.
You will need clio night and day engine mounts from the 1.1 carb model.
Also need plumbing, intercooler etc and may well need to relocate battery to behind bulkhead or in boot.
Oh and obviously reduce fuel pressure...

You have to align the solenoid so that when it opens it pushes the rod out from the lock.
You can do it fairly easily using the parts that are already there.
