Sounds like something might be constantly getting power if its doing that when theres no key in and the fuse is causing a bit of sparking?

Cheers Mike i'll give that a jeff too. Whenever I go to replace the fuse after one blowing it sparks a bit and one of the black and brown box things, which i presume are relays, click. Is that normal? Any idea what these relays are for, if they are connected and could it be possible they might...

Its a possibility pete but wouldnt have anything to do with the immob, if the red light is flashing when you turn the key its an immob issue. If not then its fuse, sensor, electrical problem

bmh to the rescue again, it's the smaller one so ecu then. Why would it keep blowing, and can't be too good if the ecu is shorting somewhere

Anyone any idea what this fuse controls? It keeps blowing everytime I start the car and try and drive off, seems to have some electrical current going through it when the keys arent even in the car, it sparks when a new fuse is put in and then blows on drive off. Any ideas??:(

Why not just fit it wherever its getting mapped, isnt going to take major tools or anything

ok the engine symobol with stop in it flashes continuously, the red light also doesnt go off but the engine turns over. Havnt checked the cambelt yet

Car decided to stop this morning, luckily I had just came off the motorway and was going around a roundabout. Heres the symptoms: - Going at slow speed (20mph) the frequency box starts flashing and I lose all power, revving does nothing -Pulled over stopped ingnition and tried to start...

Reliability wise I would imagine K-tec will stand by their work and its probably a good standard. Definately not worth doing though if you aren't doing yourself, been there done it and with them being so cheap nowadays save a couple of months more and get a 1*2. You dont want a sunroof, yours...
