What is the aktis? Got to remember that the guys Im dealing with have very little language skills, a bit like myself actually! They only have 3 languages...none of which helps me!
Very discrete Cup with the steering wheel on the other side. The only identification is a Jean Ragnotti signature inside the glovebox. No flashy badging for us continentals!
The buy-out at the end of the lease should be quite reasonable as they will have depreciated it at a fairly steep rate, I would imagine. I would also be willing to bet that the Cups will be commanding a slight premium in the enthusiast market in a few years time.
This is a photo of the speedo when the limiter was asleep! Youll have to take my word for it that it was pulling near 7000 when I noticed...http://erc.qmuc.ac.uk/cliosport/file.php?image=1064396428__107-0708_IMG.jpg
My Willy would pull easily to the rev limit in 5th. Occasionally the limiter would be dozing and it would go a good bit faster pulling up to about 6800 or more with ease, bog stock with 103,000 miles on the clock.
And where I drive this is all perfectly legal...
Okay,
Could some Cup owner have a peek under their chin spoiler and count the number of bolsts securing it to the car? I would like to know how may are supposed to be there. Seems that Renault doesnt ship either the bolts or instructions on affixing the chin spoiler out with the cars!

Sitting in the showroom with the JR 1998 plates on it. Looks lovely, but the front spoiler/airdam bit was missing.
I told the lad that there was a piece missing. He assured me that there was no piece missing. I had to get a bit firmer and he agreed that there was a piece but they didnt...
Didnt see you but there was quite a crowd.
I was there Saturday only and did 6 laps in the S3, starting at 0800. I did a fair few in various 928s throughout the rest of the day though.
The traffic was the worst I have ever seen.
The M5 must have been set up poorly if Sabine couldnt get ti sideways! I think they change tyres on the taxi after 10 laps.
Lord Lucan has been sighted at many exotic locations, but this is the first Ive heard of him visiting the Nordschleife!
Sabine isnt known to be easy on tyres!
Understeer wasnt a problem. Wimpy brakes were! Just a bit too exciting. The S3 actually handles pretty well and the engine is fairly strong. The car is too lardy though!
I saw three Clios at the ring yesterday, one Ragnotti, one Cup and a regular 2.0 Sport. That is the most Ive seen there since the Cliosposrt visit at Easter!
Hopefully Ill have mine there for next weekend...I had an S3 this weekend whose braked lasted only 6 laps!
I would say that if you have the cash, buying the Willimas is the way to go. You can drive it for a year or two knowing that youll get most if not all of you money back.
Well, I spent the past weekend in Hungary and saw hundreds of Trabants still on the road. Can you imagine having to face driving one of them?
A Renault, no matter how bad, is like a Rolls Royce or Ferrari next to one of them!
The recirculation button actualy cuts off the fresh air intake and recirculates the air you already have in the car through the A/C. I always use this feature in long tunnels or sometime at lights when stuck near a lorrys exhaust. Most of them have timers that switch back to frresh air intake...
If the tyres are worn out, replace them.
If it is just the outer edges that are worn down due to cornering, and there is still legal tread in the middle, just switch them to the rear.
If the tread is evenly worn to minimum across the tyre, this would be a bad move as you will have a...
Just a suggestion: if you are using the car in a manner which is a bit too much for the engine mounts, you might think of fitting the RenaultSport items which are engineered for rough usage.
There are four ECUs in the Grp N catalogue:
