    Cleaning car

If you wash, you get good at washing. If you drive you get good at driving. Which would you rather be good at?

    Episode 3 - R-sport ECU fitted

So R-Sport is selling the RenaultSport ECU? Are we sure of that?

Luxembourg. And the frames, if you use them have to be black with a yellow pinstripe around them.

    Cleaning car

Cars are for driving, not washing.

    **my number plate**

Cant get away with any of that stuff here. They even outlawed the bolts this year, and we have to use frames or double sided tape to attach the plates now. Nothing at all can be on the plate other than the official numbers and the EU stars and L.

    Track days for little engines

I raced a little in the old Renault Cup in the USA. We used Alliances and Encores which were basically Renault 11 1.4s. They were pretty slow but we had an awful lot fo fun with them! I would venture to say that most of the current Clios would blow them into the weeds. Shagged brakes and...

    Episode 3 - R-sport ECU fitted

So when do we get a comparison test with the GrN ECU and R-Sport chip?

    Invalidated Warranty

Hannah, I would speak to a dealer principal about this matter prior to the servicing and if he didnt put things right, I would take my business elsewhere and get someone at a Renault cealership to stamp the 12,000 mile service as done. In other words get the stamp with dates and mileage to...

    just ordered the R-sport ECU

The price for the RenaultSport ECU is €245,56 or about £171. It would be interesting to see how these compare.

    Finally! My catalogue is here!

No these are bronze bushes that go on the gearbox end of the rod. F 00 47 029 Also there are four bits that are fitted to the gear lever 77 11 126 145 x 2 77 11 129 445 x 2 I would imagine these bits take a bit of play out of the gear seletor and probably add a bit of vibration and...

    OMG - V6 vs Cup

I drove the V6 back to back with some 172s on the ring at Easter and was shocked at how close the two are in performance. Being used to FWD, it would have taken a good few laps for me to go any faster with the V6 than the 172. Kesselschen which is the long uphill section may have been quicker...

It would be interesting to compare the ECU with the r-Sport one. Or is it the same one?

    Finally! My catalogue is here!

There is a colour photograph of the GR N rally car in tarmac trim on the first page. Other than that just line drawings of the parts. There are no real descriptions of the bits other than the part numbers na prices.

They use Matter cages, Sparco seats, Bilstein and Ohlins dampers, Mintex and Ferodo pads. There is a bronze bit for the shifter lnkage that might be a good idea.

    Finally! My catalogue is here!

No scanner, but the parts are numbered and priced. There are some missing from the price list though. Other than that, it is fairly complete.

    Finally! My catalogue is here!

I ordered two catalogues from Dieppe before Easter and apparently they never received my bank cheque, but they sent me one of the catalogues anyway. Clio Renault Sport Groupe N 2.0 16V Phase 1-Phase 2 & Ragnotti Edition Juillet 2003 There are 4 ECUs listed! 77 11 129 391 for the F4R...

Brit Willy 2 on the ’ring today..

Kelly, You should have no trouble finding a taker for that ticket. Most of us have Jahrekarten and dont need a ticket, but there always someone wholl use it. The logical thing would be to make another trip and use it yourselves! Ed

Reply from L.A.D Re RR Day

I bought my Evo VI from Ralliart in Spain and had it shipped from there to Luxembourg for €500! You can ship a car across the Atlantic for about $600! Bollix, I say!

Brit Willy 2 on the ’ring today..

And if you think that Renaults have reliability problems, yesterday I found out that GTi16vs can have bad days as well. I blew the left inner CV halfway through my 3rd lap. €175 to tow the car off the track and to the garage. They bunged in a new CV, and on my next lap I managed to shear...

Brit Willy 2 on the ’ring today..

I saw a lovely Willy 2 at the ring today and eventually got to speak with the owner. He has yet to find this site, but I suggested that he look a little harder for it. I tried to con him into letting me drive him around for a lap or two but he wasnt quite up for it. Too bad. I really miss...

    Ragnotti D Day.

Yeah, I thought the trip to Hungary might just get the break in done comparatively gently. Have to get a spare set of wheels anyway for the winter so Ill probably just toss one of them in the back. Anybody here likely to make it over to the ring in the near future? It was good seeing the...

    Clio Cup 172 is different!

I think you will find the the ClioSport Cup/Ragnotti was built to homologate a few changes into the Group A/N Rally and Race cars. It has nothing at all to do with the Clio Cup which are purpose built for their own one make series.

Newby to Clio’s, after info on the Cup

Side Show, I think the Aussies car the WRX the Rex there. Youll have a lot of fun with the Cup, Im sure. Im picking mine up soon and fully expect it to be as much fun as my Willy was. I had an Evo 6 TM and the running costs doing what I like to do would have been astronomical. And dont...
