Umm you can easy get 40 or 35mm springs, just have a look about. My RT is lowered about 40 on the front and something like 60 on the back and it goes over speed bumps fine on 195,45,15s. No ICE or even spare tyre in yet but it shoud be fine :)
Id say thats already lowered, have you seen an old Clio on 15s and standard suspension?
I used to have to take a broom with me to knock the homeless people out of my arches ;)
Ive heard you cant have a stainless steel manifold cause itd just melt so all the stuff sold as a s/s manifold isnt s/s but some other alloy? Anyone know owt about it? Dont suppose it really matters.
When youve done this can you tell me how much stress it was getting it on the RT bumper? Cause plenty of people have said it was easy on the 16v but nothing about the RT so far :)
Fiesta Zetec S, the 2002 one I think, no idea about build quality but they look mint :)
But if want somat solidly built, and fast, how about an old Polo G40 Coupe, nice and solid :) , heh but then I just seen youre only 19, forget that one ;)
Theyre not digital, its to do with the way they amplify the sound. Theyre far more efficient than class A,B,C amps but are lower quality hence are of little use for anything other than subs.
The theory is that at first its still learning how it should be driven, so if you reset it, then with all your mods thrash it a bit itll be used to being driven fast and somehow run better or somat. Dunno how true it is though. Cause surely if it was capable of learning it wouldnt suddenly stop...
What are the extra dials on that to the RT? And how easy are they to fit? I may have a 16v donor car coming my way :)
(shame the only bit I cant have is the engine!!!)
I hope none of you lot expect someone to slow down, move over, let you past then speed up to the speed they want and move out again. Cause I get that alot, mainly from Audis or any big car really.
I dont see why undertaking could be dangerous, anyone who changes lanes without looking first is...
Cause there is some pride to be taken in saying, yeah this was my first car, started out as a little 1.4 with 80bhp, now its pushing more like 180 :)
And its the dream to blow away some big rep mobile beamer at the lights ;)
Right, what size are the bolts and that for the tool he knocked up? I seen the guide before and Im not a member, must be the one Lunner is taking about. I did a search on torsion bar, lowering etc, couldnt find a link to the guide.
I was looking into doing the 16v brake conversion and I was hoping someone on here who has done it could tell me exactly what I need and how much the bits would cost. So I know about calipers, discs, pads, but Ive been told I may need new master cylinders, new back plates, the back brakes might...
Wheres the torsion bar adjusting guide gone?
Can anyone give me any details about the torsion bar removal tool the guy in the guide knocked together?
Do you have to do anything with the swinging arm? Someone I know reckons this is the way to do it?
Had I best spay some wd40 on it? And if...
Thing is, your average car theif cant steal a 172 anyway, chipped key and I assume standard immobiliser and all that. And anyone who really wants that car isnt gonna be put off by a steering lock!
