Im a fan of natural aspiration. Ive owned a bunch of turbos from 930s to the EVO VI TM and I still go for natrually aspirated for throttle response and simplicity.
And no matter what the developers say, an aftermarket trubo conversion isnt up there with the highly engineered factory or WRC...
You are better off fitting 4 identical tyres when you do change.
Putting an entirely differnet tyre on one axle is bound to screw things up at least until you get used to them. Even a well worn pair and a fully treaded pair of the same make would have different characteristics.
If it isnt there they cant test it. I wouldnt remove it though. It does come in handy every now and again.

Rob, you dont have to worry so much about the previous owner with a rally car as most of the competitors would know the history of the car. Where and when it went off the history of it and so on. You will be tearing the car apart anyway so youll know it inside out. You can be guaranteed that...
Do not start out by converting your own car. Buy a prepared rally car that somebody else has spent ridiculous money on. Dont worry about the cosmetics just make sure all the bits are there and in reasonable nick. The Peugeot 206 might be a good start. Look at some of the continental Clios if...
To do it right I would think that the full set of factory S1600 panels would be the way to go. I cant imagine doing it with a stick on kit and getting decent results.
You can buy the full kit from RenaultSport. They have to make them available as per class rules. Might be a bit costly though...

My Willy is approaching 180,000km and although showing the normal signs of wear and tear, seems to be holding up just fine. Considering the life it leads at the moment, I am impressed with its duarbility. Im sure that a Golf would hold up better, but I have no complaints.
Arrived at Monte Carlo yesterday to pick up a car and what was the first "exotic" I saw? It was a Willy in the harbour carpark!
In the Bentley showroom there was a lovely convertible for €322,000 and outside was a new shape RR. Lots of Ferraris and Maseratis driving about but no Porsches...
Get £5,000 in crisp notes and walk in to the dealer. Slap the wad down on his desk. You most likely will drive away with the Willy.
