The only thing that slightly bothers me about my new Willy is that the oil pressure gauge goes straight to 0 bar once the engine gets to 60degC. I wouldnt expect that even at 160degC!! Since the car is only on 54k, I doubt its the oil seals - so maybe its the sensor unit? The oil pressure...

Sounds like the power steering pump to me. Sometimes its just a harmless, but annoying noise.

Cheers Pete - the Williams was really quite different to drive than my old 16V. I didnt get to really take it above 4000rpm (busy London), but it had bags more torque at lower revs and the handling felt really different too (more solid).

£3999 is well over the odds. Maybe a year or two ago, but thats 35% of the original price of the car nearly ten years later - Mundaneos struggle to make that at three years! Sadly, a totally mint car can barely be worth over £3000. Most change hands now in the £2000 to £3000 bracket.

134mph is the official top speed. Its those idiots at Evo that give it 120mph; have you also noticed that the 5 GT Turbo apparently weighs 990kg and in one issue they had the Williams weight as something like 1150kg!! Not exactly spot on!

The Willy engine is the same as the 16V engine to service - the price difference will be down to which garage you take it to.

Theres always the debate around running the engine in or not, although the consensus leans towards progressive thrashing from day one!
