The Williams F7R unit has sharper cams and polished inlet exhaust parts (as well as the obvious bottom end change) over the 16Vs F7P unit. On that basis Ive also heard that it isnt worth polishing/porting the inlet parts of a Williams engine.

As has already been said, get a feel for the seller. I sold my Valver with 105k on the clock and it was a minter. But when I was looking for a Williams, some with only 50k on the clock and 1/2 owners were nails.

Dont bother with an IK on the 16V/Williams. They suck in lots of hot air and rob you of performance. You should be keeping a Williams standard anyway!

I got 240 miles out of my first tank of petrol on my standard Williams. That did include some "enthusiastic" driving, but my 16V was getting 300 miles to the tank in similar conditions.

Excellent news mate - you bought your Willy the weekend I got mine (no 123!). I had a 16V before so the performance in a straight line isnt so noticeable, but down the lanes this thing is an animal. The only mod mine has is a back box and Ill probably change that back to standard some time...
