my journey to work and back is 45 miles round trip and then i go out for plays every now and again. i generally get 350 miles to a tank. just driven from cambridge to scotland and back and the computer read 48mpg. got 420 miles to one tank
yes mate this is the second time i removed the front bumper, first time was a bit of guess work and took ages but second time round it only took 20/30 mins total to remove everything its dead easy.
There are 2 torx bolts and 2 10mm bolts in each arch, 2 torx bolts at the bottom of each side of...
with the grilles all i did was degrease and clean them, then when they were dry i put a couple of thin layers of plastic primer on then 3/4 coats of satin black :)
the badges and bullets i rubbed down slightly first and then primed, sprayed and lacquered
its a wheel cleaner we use at work, i think the brand is iktar or something like that it only cost me £10 for 5 litres and that can be diluted up to 25%. I diluted it 50/50 for the wheels this time round to remove some of the more stubborn grime!!
yea there a bit orange peely as well as it was pretty cold when i was spraying but i wanna get them done in blue with black lettering. think there is some guy on here that does it for about £30 :)
Firstly i removed the bullets, renault diamonds and clio badge to paint black. Did this on the friday night and then spent saturday spraying parts and cleaning her.
I'll let the pictures do the talking :)
Before - after an 800 mile road trip to scotland
Front bumper off to spray grilles...
cheers guys thats what i wanted to hear. i was also advised to spray the applicator pad lightly with detailer/water to avoid dust build up. is this recommended?
Off to halfords in a moment to buy some more cleaning stuff. I've been using meguires NXT shampoo and it lasts ages but have ready lots of comments that say it leaves the paintwork dull/smeary (which i can agree on after washing my girlriends ka for the first time the other day). Would the...
so, 2 differing comments so far doesnt help me really
i definately think the 16's fill the arches better but i'm going for a track/fast road look and 15's would suit that style more
argg i cant decide!!
well i want it to look good when i clean the car. i.e. the rest of the car will be shiny so i want them to be too.
although not sure on the grilles will shiny grilles look tacky?
I have a 182 full fat and am gunna buy some new wheels. I initially wanted 16" turini's but after looking at many pictures 15" wheels are growing on me quickly. I know clio's need to be pretty slammed to pull off a 15" wheel but coilovers are on the cards.
The other advantage with 15" wheels is...
Getting the following parts sprayed in the next couple of weeks
- Bullets
- Both Renault diamonds
- Clio badge
- Wing mirror backings
- Upper and lower front grilles
- Fog light surrounds
My question is what shade/style of black should i go for. I am getting black wheels and ideally want them...
I have a 182 full fat with both cup packs and i have eibach sportlines fitted at present. After removing the rear seats it now sits far too high.
I have looked high and low for coilovers but nowhere seems to make them for the full fat models
The only ones i can find are the ktec ones but they...
i bought a 182 because it ticked all the right boxes. they're quick in standard form, very affordable, cheap to run, can get 40mpg + if driven sensibly and bloody fun to drive
