As far as I can tell, yeah mate. The drivers window operates for a designated time after the ignition is switched off to allow you to close it once parked etc. Opening any door stops this time-out period. The passengers doesn't have this feature so yours sounds like all is correct :)

Drivers window will work when ignition is initially switched off for a few minutes. The timer will cease should any of the doors be opened. Passenger window will never operate unless the ignition is switched fully on.

Cheers Craig. This is where I was getting mine from, they quote £399 inc VAT and offer a £20 cash back scheme towards fitting so it makes it £380 all in. Delivery is only £15 too. They do a Cat-Back system for around £360 I think? Awesome Gti come in at £407 plus delivery for the decat...

It should light up with the clock and temp regardless of the HU. it has 2 or 3 small wedge filament lamps behind the display which have probably blown. Dash top off to replace them I'm afraid!
