Just fackin turbo the 172....end of. A move to a k20 is a sideways step.
Engine is no better than the donk in there but at least the car is balanced around it's weight.

Had this exact thing myself Ted on a pair of ball joints bought from NW Performance on Sunday.
Their advice is to take a nip off the top of the new joints.
Im gonna have a go through the week at this but im very concious of the contents of the ball element having plastic so ill have to watch...

Having a wee hoke round under the bonnet, I noted a sensor just behind the rad that was covered in oil (see pictures).
When i pulled the plug out of it, there appeared to be oil inside too.
Is this an oil pressure/temp switch and if so, is this a common fault?
Also, I noted a wee...
not sure where its leaking exactly Ben...........cant see a seal as there is still a good few mill of thread left and it is in tight....there may well be a wee seal inside the hole though....
will whip her out tonight and have a goosey gander.....

Just to the right of the manifold on this yoke, there is a wee sensor bolted into the block. It has a large green bit on it.
I have just noticed that it seems to be leaking oil (either from it or the thread)
had a wee tighten but its still...
ok............point proven..........

I looked at everything you guys suggested but to no avail.....
so i took it back to basics.......
and
i found a hole burnt through the rubber boot on the plug lead that goes over the spark plug and...
Thanks for that dude.....the problem is over here...that most of the renault dealerships are owned by Charles Hurst = Lookers Group = PITA
Apparently when they connected it to the CLIP machine it showed no fault.......
any dealerships you could recommend to call for advice....anyone on here...
